Very nice bright fiery red orange ink . Flows very smooth out of a medium nib fountain pen . I have thus far used it only with office grade printer paper , but for my day to day usage it seems very bright and dries relatively quickly , but remember I am using a medium nib , a finer nib would dry even quicker . As to the European ink treatment formula aiding its smooth flowing characteristics , I can state it is definitely smooth as so far I have not had a hard start or skipping that I can recall . I am looking forward to trying the moonstone ink ( which I already purchased ) from this brand . Highly recommend !!

I have tried and tested probably closer to 100 different inks (from different brands - primarily blue inks), and i can attest - this is very great, smooth, vibrant, and wet ink! Also it does not loose color when it dries on the paper, and it writes very consistent. Also it does not have those "bubbles" in the converter that would cause a resistance for a smooth flow . Great ink - similar to Montblanc Royal blue, but much vibrant in color, and better for your wallet!

The bottle arrived well-protected and came with a seal around the cap. The cap however, was so tight that i struggled to removed the lid (used two different types of lid grippers). Finally, I had to resort to heating the plastic cap with a bit of hot. tap water to get the cap to turn. But once I inked up my pen and was finally able to test the ink, I loved it! The color is a lovely cool-toned medium brown. The ink flows well with good legibility (I used a medium nib). However, the ink may bleed through slightly on some papers. I only own two bottles of Monteverde inks and the other ink (Olivine) does the same thing (bleeds a little, but only on certain papers), so I'm not sure if this is a trait of Monteverde inks or if the issue depends on the color, but I still really adore this unique ink! Great value!

I like Monteverde fountain pen inks - this is the 3rd color I've purchased. They're a great value and work well in all the fountain pens I've tried them in, and of course, work with dip pens.I use them primarily for sketching and drawing rather than writing, and aside from Document Black, they aren't waterproof...which is great if you're planning on using them with a water brush to create tonal washes.Moonstone is a perfect sepia-type brown color - unlike Brown Sugar, which is a deep, dark brown. Once diluted with water, it becomes a red-brown, which I don't personally care for.Moonstone is a bit lighter than Brown Sugar as well, so if you're looking for a very dark brown ink, keep that in mind.

This ink is perfect for what I needed it for. It writes SO smoothly and is very consistent in color. I needed something that looked like blood, and after reading reviews about other "ox blood" colored inks, decided on this one. This ink is definatly the way to go, and I'll be buying another bottle as soon as I run out.

Me encanta el color de esta tínta, azul tirando a púrpura. Es muy fluida. Si usas papel tipo Tomoe River puedes apreciar su brillo.

This is a wet ink, meaning it flows easier than most other inks, puts down more ink than "dry" inks, draws a thicker line, will take a bit longer (a few seconds) to dry, and has an easier time bleeding on cheap paper.This is RED, like red nail polish red. Deeper (not darker) red than coke can red, but not shiny. I want a sports car painted with this red; the pictures don't get the shade right. I really like this shade of red, most other reds are darker towards maroon or lighter towards pink. This writes in intense red and it stays the same color red when it dries. I cannot say enough good things about this red!My normal ink is Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue which is a dry ink. As soon as I switched to Ruby Red, i noticed right away that the ink flowed faster. My EF nib lets me write on cheap paper; with the Pelikan ink that was true, with this Monteverde Ruby Red ink, I can still write on cheap paper but it writes like a FINE nib. My EF thin lines are definitely thicker. Paper is good enough that is still isn't bleeding but I've got concerns using this with a medium nib pen would be too much for the cheap paper I use (generic A5 spiral dotted notebook w/ 100gsm paper, about $5-6 on amazon). Your experience may vary depending how cheap you went on paper :)On my monitor, the pictures of Ruby Red seems a bit orangish (same for google image searches for this ink) almost looking like a mango orange. There is definitely no orange when writing w/ a FP. A cartridge rollerball like the Herbin is lighter shade of the same red simply because its so stingy with the amount it puts down. The Frixion red leaning towards a pinkish hue, the rollerball is red but not as intense, and the FP red is intense. This is a deep red, not a dark red. Think candy apple red, without the shine. Think the color of a crayola red crayon (the actual crayon, not the color it makes on the paper).Like I said, I want a sports car in this color...

Monteverde did a good job with the formulation of this ink. It actually has a good ruby color. To get more pop of the color the usual applies of fountain pen friendly paper, clean pen, etc. Solid middle of the spectrum in regards to wet/dry. Well behaved in all the pens I tried it in. Personally my preference is towards the darker reds and while this is a good color overall it's still a touch to translucent when dry. If that makes any sense.Overall good ink.

Emballage parfait arrivé peu avant la date prévue.Encre apparemment de belle qualité (impression à confirmer à l'usage), belle couleur tirant un peu sur le rouge, un peu plus en tout cas que ce que l'échantillon sur l'écran d'ordinateur permet d'en juger; mais Il s'agit d'infimes nuances difficiles à maitriser .

Bonne fluidité couleur très agréable. Très bonne sur le papier et facile à nettoyer. Je suis satisfait et je prendrai certainement d'autres encres Monteverde dans le futur.
