The needles were merely press fit into the handles so if you ever try to pull a thread through a tight bundle the needle pulls out! Had to superglue it.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of these, as the price is very affordable and sometimes the product can feel poorly made.These guys work great! I used them to re thread the toe caps of my shoes, and they were really sharp, sturdy, and easy to use.They also work great for creating holes in leather and other thick materials, which is great for any repairs or sewing through extremely thick fabrics or when you need to make a hole for thick thread.I just used one to create a new notch in a belt that is too big for me, and it looks so much better than the times I had to use an xacto knife to make a hole.Overall a great purchase, and I'm glad I went with this option instead of buying a more expensive one, because these do a really good job! (also you get 5 which is a great deal)

I like this product for sewing nylon straps and was happy to find a pack of 5 as they tend to come loose in the handle after a while with pushing and pulling I use a sharp pointed awl to make starter holes. I have used hot glue to reset needles in base so to be able to keep using. Al and all its a reasonable price to pay for a specialty product.
