I've tried many different kinds of sticky traps but these are still the best so far as attracting and trapping roaches. Plus when one side fills just flip it over till the other side does too. So each trap is really like 2. I never had any luck with those plastic hotel traps but with these you can see the results and get an idea of how bad your bug problem really is.

This was the option that worked best in my house to get rid of the plague of German cockroaches.I noticed that they were trapped and raised young while they were trapped, that's the secret, because they reproduce a lot

This item can give you peace of mind that there are no bugs in your house if the item doesn’t catch any bugs. However, it could be that you’re not seeing bugs in the motel because it’s not sticky enough to hold the bugs or the build quality is low. It’s a 3D rectangular structure made of cardboard with double sided plastic tape on the inside. The entrances have small pieces of the cardboard sticking up slightly so it could be that the bugs can’t or don’t want to climb an almost vertical wall to see what’s inside? So maybe I will try to press down those pieces of cardboard by the entrances. They may or may not stay level with the ground. The motels were already assembled when I got them. They had no smell. It’s just cardboard and tape that I can see.I wouldn’t spend too much money on these but they might give you peace of mind that you don’t have bugs if it’s empty or your bugs are getting eliminated if it’s collecting bugs when you look inside it.

So we live in the south and have had our home sprayed for bugs by a professional exterminator every month for 13 years. Somehow we brought home a roach in a package and it's been a battle since then. Our exterminator said they are starting to see where roaches are immune to what is already out on the market. He has been trying so hard to beat them and gave us professional glue traps but my husband wanted to see if these would help also.I don't know what is in these little miracle Roach Motels but we finally feel like we are beating these gross bugs. It's so aggravating to see them no matter how clean your house is. We have hope now because the roaches LOVE these things. We figured out where they are coming from and placed them strategically in the area and the only place we see them now is stuck in the Roach Motel. We are so grateful that a little inconspicuous box is making such a difference. They are on the floor under the cabinets and we even have dogs but they don't pay them any attention. They have even attracted flies and mosquitos. They have a slight smell but we can only tell if we pick one up. I am so happy my husband bought these!!

They really work well, provided they're placed in the different location and are left for a few days. No toxic!

My apartment in northern GA may be up on the third floor, but it does have a problem with the creepy-crawlies every now and then. The roaches generally show up in abrupt waves, at intervals of a few months, often after a heavy rainstorm. There's also the normal "living in the South" problem of those small crunchy beetles that stink to high heaven if you smash them. The apartment complex does what it can, but...we're in the South. We're gonna get bugs.I have tried, and am not a fan, of the foldable glue traps. They're unsightly, and when the cat stepped into one, it promptly turned into a slapstick comedy routine. So, I decided to try these. Placed half a dozen of them in a 900 sq. ft. apartment (2 on either side of the balcony door, 2 on either side of the oven where there are gaps in the kitchen cabinets, one each in the bathroom and office room, all of them right up against the baseboard). Overkill? Maybe. But I had no idea beforehand how well these things would work. The verdict: they DO work, and do so outstandingly. Since placing them several months back, I have seen exactly one creepy-crawly bug in the open in the entire apartment. And left to his own devices he'd likely find a way to get stuck in the thing shortly. That's it. Zero roaches. For that matter, zero spiders, something of a miracle in Georgia. After a few months, I assume that they're probably due for replacement soon, but they're still working. Unlike the foldable glue traps, there's a bit of a "ramp" at either end that not only acts as a wall once the bugs cross it, but also blocks the trapped bug corpses from view. They seem to be cat-proof as well - the ramp entrances make it impossible for the cat to get stuck on the thing unless they REALLY tried, while the bugs are hidden from the cat's view as well. Win/win.These cost a bit more than the generic glue traps, but they're worth it. They simply work. There's a reason the things have been on the market for nearly 50 years. My only "gripe" is that I wish they had a selection of a few colors to blend in with the decor better, but that's a quibble. When the glue on these stops being effective, I'm definitely buying another batch.
