The carabiners broke on our way to the campsite. Very cheaply made. Otherwise the system instructions are helpful and the bag and sock are good.

This did not work at all. The rope broke, the carabiners broke and all while we were still setting it up. We hadn’t even used it yet! The only good thing about this was the instructions, where we used our own rope and different carabiners. Don’t waste your money on this. You just need rope, carabiners, and a YouTube video.

The included instructions don’t work if you need to reach a higher branch. I was able to connect the two lines together and raise the bag over the branch. The branch I used was about 15-18 feet high, at least. The food bag seemed waterproof. It looked just a dry bag I use on the water and was about 5L in size. The strings to raise the bag were skinny and the carabiners weren’t too robust but seemed like they would hold at least 5 pounds of food well enough. Overall, this was light enough that I would easily add it in a backpack.

This bear bag seems like a good quality and should do the intended job well. The overall performance really depends on your skill level when camping. Even the most seasoned outdoorsmen can't compete with hungry/determined wild life. A determined animal will find a way to get what they want. Just ask the squirrels in my bird feeder that's designed to keep squirrels out, if they think the food is out of their reach. My point is don't put all your faith in any product, including this one to be 100 percent wildlife proof.I do rate this product at 5 stars for the overall quality and durability and I think it's a good value for the price. It may help you or it may not, but that wouldn't be the fault of the manufacturer. Wildlife is just too unpredictable to say that this or any product will absolutely work to keep wildlife out of your stuff.

Worked great. Bag was waterproof in the rain. I gave a 4 star because the carabiners broke under the weight.

Didn’t even get to use the product because the carabiner broke during its very first use. I didn’t have any weight on it or anything.

It only came with one carabiner and not two but that wasn’t an issue
