I have neighbors that have dogs barking all the time. Just a few times I have used this and ... walla, no more dogs barking! It is also good for stupid people too!!

Just as described. Other than testing it in my garage, I haven't needed it but it's there if needed. Good and loud and easy to use. Great price too!

I got this for a backpacking trip through the Tetons. This thing is so freakin loud and obnoxious. If I were a bear and heard this, I would run in the other direction. Since I was not eaten and didn't even see a bear, I am going to assume this little beauty worked as advertised.

I bought this to help in the event of a dog fight to hopefully startle the dogs. Just had my first one since purchasing this horn and the horn would not work. I moved the cap to unlock it and pushed down and nothing. Very disappointed.

This horn is very, very loud for its size. It's too loud for my purposes (scaring off stray dogs) because it'll hurt my ears and my dogs' ears in the process. My issue is the safety doesn't stay engaged. The white button pops up and then the horn can be accidentally pressed. Given how loud the horn is, I feel nervous about accidentally pressing it and scaring my dogs.

Used this while hiking some less-used trails in Glacier National Park. It fits easily in a pocket and is very easy to use. It is also VERY loud indeed.I docked one star because the safety feature doesn't really work that great. It's a little loose and I could see the horn possibly going off accidentally depending on how you shove it into a bag or something. It should be fine in a loose jacket pocket or something. But that aspect of the design could use a little improvement.

Wanted to test this out when I first got it. Stepped outside onto the back porch, extended my arm up to shoulder height and out, and reluctantly pressed it once. It was much louder than I expected and startled me. Ears were ringing, and I felt some shame and embarrassment. This is likely what would happen to a nearby bear. It would be initially frightened and scatter away, which is effective! But it would then be left like me for a bit in that period of shame and self-doubt.
