Directions: Wash item with mild soap and water and allow to dry thoroughly. Apply wood cutting board oil with a clean cloth. Allow to soak in for 2-3 minutes and wipe with a clean dry cloth. Recommended treatment minimum once a month. FOR NEW ITEMS: Apply wood oil for cutting board daily for first week; apply once a week for first month of use. Continue with once-monthly treatments.

I got this to season my new bamboo cutting boards. It had great reviews, so I gave it a try. I put a generous amount of the oil on the cutting boards and let it sit overnight. The next morning, the boards were dry and still rough to the touch, so I added more oil and let them sit. I checked them about 6 hours later and needed to apply more oil. I let them sit overnight. The next morning, they were better, but I added one last coating and let them sit. They are now perfect, and the oil penetrated the wood very well. It darkened the wood just a bit, but I like the new color. There is no smell, its mineral oil after all, and food grade, so win win. I will recoat in a week, as recommended, but so far, I am super happy, and the price was reasonable

I bought a new, large bamboo carving board. I bought the food grade oil to pretreat the wood.Three coats over three days and this new board will last forever.The oil is thin and easy to apply. It soaks in well and enhances the life of a wooden carving board.I highly recommend.

I bought this for butcher block counters someone thought would be a good idea they use in the bathroom and the kitchen. Until I can afford to redo them, I thought it best that I try and care for them to keep them protected and somewhat sealed as best as I can. So far this seems to work nicely. But it's only been a week.

It brought to life many of our cutting boards that were dull. The oil soaks into the wood without a greasy feeling leaving the wood looking nice and new.

Unfortunately the product came separately wrapped (with other items) and with a seal under the lid, but still leaked and got all over everything. It wasn’t enough that I feel like I lost significant product, but being an oil, it made quite a mess. Thankfully it didn’t ruin anything else I ordered!The product, however, is GREAT! I ordered it because I have a bamboo cutting board that has been abused and not conditioned in quite a few years and the last time I tried to condition it I used a cooking oil which worked a little but was also messy and sticky and definitely not what I was looking for. This product worked great! The cutting board was in BAD shape and I actually plan to treat it multiple times before using again, but this stuff is working! This board was really REALLY dry! But what really impressed me is my handmade farmhouse table. I have tried to use “orange glow” on it in the past. The conditioning doesn’t last long and it leaves the table greasy and I don’t think it’s exactly food safe. I began treating the table top with Bayes as well, as it had not been cleaned or treated for some time. I’m amazed! It is deep conditioning it, doesn’t leave it greasy, and is food safe! I am submitting a picture showing part of the table treated and part untreated - this treatment has been on for 2 weeks and the wood has remained conditioned! I have treated a large surface area that was very much in need and have only used 1/4 of a 12oz bottle. I would say if you have nice items and do regular maintenance that the Bayes oil will last you a long time! I will most definitely be treating everything I can think of and buying a new bottle!
