I should have listened to the other reviewers. I didn't think my dog would be scared off by the motor so easily, but this thing is really loud. If you have a dog you believe loves balls enough not to be scared off, this thing is perfect for you. It has a remote and once you get the hang of it, is easy to set it to go a decent distance. If my dog wasn't a chicken, he would have gotten a good workout with this thrower.

Have a border collie who's entire world is about playing fetch. I Thought that this would be a great, fun toy. Unfortunately it has a really loud - high pitched whine when it is launching the ball that sends my dog under the furniture until it stops. I will need to de-sensitize the dog to this sound before I will ever have any success with training to use the ball launcher. So if your dog is sensitive to sound, using this toy might be challenging.

Works wonderful. My dog retrieves the ball and puts it in the hopper herself and plays with it every day and for entertainment

Used the product exclusively indoors and it lasted about about 45 days. I note that item has a 30 day return policy which is suspect. When it worked our dog loved it but now it won’t launch. It goes on when a ball is dropped in but it just sits there spinning but the launch arm doesn’t move. I want a refund or new item but can’t see how to manage that. Don’t waste your money until they fix durability issues.

To begin with the instructions are terse are almost impossible to read. I had to use a magnifying glass to read what little there was to explain how it works. We got it charged, put batteries in the flimsy remote and went out for its debut. Nothing. And there was nothing in the instructions that told me what I needed to do. I did take a ball and played fetch with my German Shepherd. The ball quickly became a disaster. I should have returned it but instead I put it in the garbage. I don't want someone else to have to deal with it.
