This was delivered today. Plugged it in to top off the charge, and then dropped one of the balls in it. My goodness, Yogi loves it. Now if I can only get him trained to drop the ball in himself.I would recommend this if you have a small dog. The "tennis" balls are only 2 inches, compared to the standard size of between 2.575 inches (6.5cm) and 2.700 inches (6.85cm). As such, they are pretty small for larger dogs. There are 3 distance settings, 10, 20, and 30 ft. To be honest, that seems to be off a bit. I think the 10 ft is closer to 15. I'm pretty comfortable using this indoors, I just make sure there is nothing fragile in the strike zone.I'm going to assume this is going to hold up for a while. It seems to be well built. If you're needing a "tennis" ball thrower for your dog, I think this is a good deal.

I absolutely love this product, and would give it five stars if the tennis balls were standard size. As it is, these tennis balls are about half the size of what normal tennis balls are, at 2 inches. Other than that, this machine works very well. I charged it for about five hours with my own adapter since this does not come with one. After that, all I needed to do was load the balls into the machine and turn the machine on. You can set your range of how far you want the ball to launch from 10, 20 or 30 feet. Three tennis balls are included, and they can be all loaded at the same time where the machine will shoot one behind the other. Or you can put one in and wait. Either way, if the switch is on, the machine immediately begins to run when the ball is loaded and will run just a few seconds afterward until it determines if there are more balls loaded in, or if it needs to shut down because there are no more balls to launch. The machine is not unusually loud, but it does make a sound that should not be bothersome to your pet unless they are extremely sensitive. The switch for on and off is on the bottom. Once the on switch is deployed, the light appears and you can easily set your distance by pressing a button. Battery life seems good, and distance seems accurate. I will say that it doesn’t appear that the ball is going to shoot in a straight line every time, but it gets pretty close to what you want. We have a family dog that will chase after balls that we throw for as long as we’re willing to do it. This will be a little easier for us to maintain her level of play time.

Buy it if you want a launcher that your dog could be trained to reload.I was able to get our 3-month-old golden puppy to retrieve several balls and drop it the large hopper to relaunch them. I think in a few more days he will be able to do it on his own without my guidance. The balls are the mini balls so not really for big dogs. Launcher has good launching power and fires them off as advertised. Shuts down when no balls are in the hopper but powers right up and fires balls off once dropped in. You can really only have 1 ball in the hopper at one time. If you drop all 3-in, the first one will launch proper distance, and the remaining balls dribble out a few seconds later. It's also got a rechargeable battery which makes it nice not having to plug it in. Makes it portable for both indoor and outdoor play.
