"put in up to 3 balls each time." NOPE. The cradle for the ball that propels it forward to the launch wheels gets stuck IN FRONT of the next ball that is supposed to go out. We have to flip the unit over to dump the ball out so the cradle can retract in order the launch the next ball.We bough this unit because it was supposed to be able to load up to 3 balls at a time. We have to put only one in at a time lest it jam up. JUNK!

I've purchased another ball launcher before and it was okay initially until the ball got too slobbery from my dog's saliva and the machine did not seem to launch the ball as far as it should. But this one seems to be doing just fine. My dog gets really excited when hearing the sound of the ball getting ready to launch.

Why would I give an item five stars if my dog didn't like it? Because the ball launcher did exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does it well. When I first set this up, I gave my dogs time to sniff it, explore it, and hear all the sounds it would make before ever engaging the machine. I even played toss with the balls so they knew that's the game we'd be playing. They loved toss. Then, chaos.I dropped the first ball in, it launched from the machine, and my dog had no idea what to do. It's like the fact that the ball didn't come from my hand made it some sort of puppy magic. I tried it again. Same look.On the third try, my other dog had the misfortune of stepping directly into the range of the shot and got pinged by the ball. My dog is fine. The balls do not throw that hard. But she still went to a corner of the yard and let me know quite thoroughly that she was done with me.I tried one more time with my other dog, this time dropping all the balls in so he could see that, indeed, they were coming out of the machine, not me.He refused to play. I went around the yard, gathered them up, and tossed him a few as I went. He happily went after the few I tossed to him.I think I should feel flattered that I'm not replaceable by a machine. But I kinda wanted to be replaceable by a machine, so...Playtime ended, the launcher was put away, and both dogs given treats. This one didn't work for us. I've tried a few times now and all to no avail. The final time I tried it, I couldn't find one of the balls, so I wrote it off as lost in the yard. Later that night, my pup brought it inside, tucked into his cheek. He dropped it on the floor, and I reached out to throw it for him. I think he thought I was going to give it back to the launcher because he dropped over it faster than I could grasp it.He now carries that little ball around in his gaping maw everywhere he goes inside the house. It's his emotional support tiny tennis ball. I'm not allowed to touch it. At all. I don't know if he thinks he rescued it or if he thinks it keeps the machine away or what, but that ball is his now. Just the ball. Just that one.And if for no other reason, the hysterics I've experienced watching him protect that one ball has been worth every dime.

The automatic ball launcher is a fantastic gadget for keeping energetic dogs entertained and active. It launches balls at adjustable distances, allowing pets to play fetch on their own or with their owners, making it great for indoor or outdoor use. It is easy to operate, with simple controls. The repetitive exercise is ideal for high-energy dogs who love to chase, and it can be a lifesaver for busy pet parents who can't always dedicate time to play. The launcher is fun, reliable, and a great way to keep pets happy and healthy.

it seems to be really well-made, and I like the color and smaller size of it. But even on the highest number, it didn’t seem to go very far. We’ve had one of these in the past, and the ball went much further, but it was much louder! so this is quiet and throws a fair distance, might be good for a smaller dog!

This ball thrower is a lot of fun. I have a 12lbs 3.5 year old ‘puppy’ who loves to play and sleep, in equal parts. She was very intrigued for a short time and then just decided to watch it launch the balls. We will see how it goes. But this is a seemingly fun toy for an active dog. Well made and works great. We plan to use it over the holidays when the dog cousins come over. Very happy we got this toy for our fur baby.

I have two dogs and not only are they puppies but they're Australian Shepherd puppies so they have a LOT of energy. This has been amazing for us to try to keep them physically and intellectually engaged to their standards, which is far beyond what I can do on my own. I love that this allows you to select the distance {nearby, medium and far} so that you can use it in different areas. We have a decently sized backyard but it has a big pool taking up most of it, so it'd be very difficult to use this on far in the yard. But we can very easily set it to nearby and let them use it in their designated area with no issues- and someday soon we'll take it to our local park and let them use it on far!

My Terrier loves to play fetch and I thought I could train her to use this. I am still working on that but it is hilarious to watch her just bark at this thing wanting the ball to shoot out of it! I di have one problem with the power cord not making a good connection. The port is a little snug so you may have to push harder to get it in. Easy to set up. Takes a ton of batteries to operate but I use the wall plug instead. Wish it was rechargeable.
