I am always looking for items that serve more than one purpose! This lease/toy combo is great for trips to the dog park and the beach! I don’t have to carry multiple items- took a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to toss it but once I got it down it’s a breeze

In order to toss the ball with the leash, it takes more finesse than strength. It is a little hard to describe, but you mostly use centrifugal force to get the ball moving, and then release the loop allowing the ball to fly! It may behoove you to do as I did and practice in a large field without your dog (or anyone else) until such time you feel at least somewhat confident that you can toss the ball generally in the direction you desire. Once you get the hang of the toss, if your medium to large dog enjoys chasing a ball until such time that your throwing arm feels like it is about to fall off your body, this sling style ball toss will be enjoyed by both of you! It takes a lot less muscle to get the ball flying with this sling than just trying to throw the ball over and over!Until you get the hang of the ball toss, this actually makes a great leash with a comfortable handle. There is a neoprene like cover over the handle part of the leash which I find quite comfortable on my hand.The set comes in a cloth bag with a string tie. It is handy to have the leash and ball launcher in one piece.. then you can either carry the ball in your pocket, your treat bag, or put it in the cloth bag it arrives in, attaching that bag to your belt. This way the ball can be out of sight until it is time to play.

I used this product because I have a German shepherd who loves to retrieve balls, but the ball thrower is hard to master. I suggest the company make the leash more elastic. this review is based on my experience with the product. the leash is heavy-duty but the concept needs some work.

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Love the use of ancient technology for a fun modern purpose. It only took me only one errant throw to figure out how to successfully launch the ball. I suggest watching the video a few times and starting out easy not trying to use max force to launch the ball. It really does not take much of any effort to get some surprising long distances. If you lack any bit of coordination then maybe it's not for you. I'm sure back in 10,000 B.C. not everyone could figure out to effectively use a shepherds sling. Years of coaching baseball for my boys has taken a toll on my arm and throwing the tennis ball to my dog was getting painful. Now I can effortlessly please my fetching machine of a pup. The leash was nicer than I expected. The carabiner is nice and the sling portion makes a great shorter length grip when needed. I could not make this myself for the extremely reasonable price they charge. As a bonus the included keychain and ball pouch are nice touches! Going to order me another so I have a spare. Whis is an amazingly good standard leash, but with a twist. It can be used like a shepherd's sling. There is a bit of a learning curve to using it effectively, so try and have fun. Also keep in mind that this can really give your ball some distance. I found out a good and comfortable way to hold it that is different from the example given. There are only a few things I'd change if I were to make something similar. I used a 2.5" ball (tennis ball or M size) and a 3" ball (L size). All worked well, with the larger one going further. This will not replace my stick style launcher (chickit) but will replace my standard leash and enable a more frequent and a higher level of fetch with my 70lbs fetch machine of a dog.If you need or want a new leash, why not give this unique one a try. I only hope that they will make more colors.

I've got a 4 year old Labrador who is so high energy and ball obsessed that I might as well have previously been a shareholder in Chuck-It. I used the damn thing so often I gave myself tendonitis in my right arm from it (aka Chuck-It Elbow). But having to carry that stick around as well as tennis balls, etc, was a bit of a pain (figuratively and literally) and I figured I'd give this leash a try. It absolutely took some practice to dial in throwing with it but once I got used to it, it's entirely supplanted the Chuck It on our twice daily outing to play. Additionally the build quality is very solid and the carabiner attaching the leash to collar is a higher quality than I expected. Given the price I'll honestly be buying another of these to keep in the car and with our camping gear. Great product!

This is a great simple leash, that serves its purpose. However, the ball thrower on the leash is confusing to use and it is simply easier to throw the ball than trying to use it. The leash is sturdy and the rope is thick, it is very durable and well-built. Overall it is a good leash that I recommend.

Lo cierto es que nos ha sorprendido para bien. Como correa está bien. Estábamos buscando una de cuerda en vez de cinta y es lo que buscábamos.Y como lanzador pues una vez le coges el truco está muy bien, puedes mandar muy lejos o cerca como quieras. En uno de los tiros perdí la pelota pero ahora estoy usando una de las mías. Había tenido el lanzador de plástico antes y tira bien pero es cierto que la correa es más cómoda de llevar, tira igual o más lejos y es mucho más divertida.

La pelota es tipo tenis muy normalita pero cumple su función. La correa está bien y como lanzapelotas pues es igual que una onda. Está divertida.
