Our little dog loves this ball launcher! It's worked well so far. The lowest setting launches the ball about 15 feet, in a relatively straight line. It makes a little whirring sound before launching the ball; this doesn't bother us. Our little dog is having so much fun with this!

This is an awesome toy for your pet that likes to play fetch. Comes with several balls that can be used with this device. It is a very fast shooter and shoots a lot further than expected. It has 3 settings for distance. Even with the lowest setting, it shoots very far. I tried attaching things in front of the shooter exit point to slow down the ball and it has helped a little. Probably best for houses that have a lot of room for long shoots. Overall still a wonderful item. Just need to teach my dogs how to insert it into the loader. They want me to do it for them.

I was so excited to get one of these. I've seen so many videos of the dog placing the ball into these all by themselves, then chasing the ball & repeating. My dog is super smart so I thought I'd have no issues training him to do this too. Well he loves it, that comes as no surprise. However he's hesitant to attempt to put the ball in by himself because it's quite noisy between the time the ball is dropped in & the ball launching. He's scared of that noise. That has been one of the only downfalls so far. The other negative is the size of the balls. They're pretty small. It would be difficult to find replacement balls, so I'm constantly worried about the balls getting lost. Luckily it does come with a good number of balls. Two types- regular green colored tennis balls (well, mini tennis balls) & a soft rubber type of ball in various colors. I love that there are 3 choices in terms of the distance you'd like the ball to go. Between having that option & the balls being on the softer side, we've had no issues with using this indoors. It isn't a chargeable device, it must be plugged in to work but the cord length is reasonable. As I've stated, my dog loves it. Even though he won't drop the ball in it himself, it sure helps give my arm a break. It's nice to just drop the ball instead of having to throw it every single time. My dog will play fetch all day into the night if he's allowed to, my arm could never keep up. So this has added countless hours to his fun. He doesn't even realize he's getting actual healthy exercise. These are priced a bit high but they're totally worth it. I just hope I can find replacement balls if/when that time comes.

It says it in the description but keep in mind this is for small dogs, not medium dogs, small dogs. The balls it comes with are considerably smaller than a normal tennis ball size and it cannot launch the larger ones. Other than the fact that it won't work for my dog because it would be a hazard, the machine itself works fine.

You can use this either with 8 C batteries or with the provided cable which is about 5 feet long. I powered it via the cable and boy the motor is powerful. Went from one end of my living room to the wall on the other side which is much more than 10 feet away. If you tilt the machine up i wouldn't be surprised if it went as far as 40 feet. This is my first ball launcher. My 8 year old eskimo was already familiar with tennis ball catching. My rescue mutt required a slow introduction to it. If you go faster they may (most likely) get scared of it. I would also not have this around kids as they'll throw something inside most likely like a miniature car.
