overwatering plants causes root rot and the plants ultimately die. This simple device prevents this and by inserting it at different points in the pot soil you can determine areas which have dried out and areas which are adequately watered. For indoor plants and patio pots and flowers this is an essential gardening tool

These units are easy to use and work very well I opted for leaning them inserted in the ground permanently so I can easily see the moisture level. I noticed that the plants need a lot LESS water than what I was applying AND they are doing better with less water. So great investment 😃

These are a good deal and work well. The stems are nice and long and are thick enough to give decent sensitivity. However, the plastic shells around the delicate meter mechanism feel thin, so I don't know how much handling they will endure.

So easy to use and check the moisture of your plants. Makes it convenient to know if you need to water or let dry out. Takes the work out of it and you don’t have to stick your finger in the dirt/soil to tell.

Works exactly as advertised.Stick it in a pot and it works instantly. Super easy to use and lightweight. I usually leave it in for a minute or more so it gives you a more accurate reading.The reading is very consistent and accurate. This is a great product for measuring the moisture! My sister is a beginner in growing plants and it has been very helpful to her as she tends to overwater, so great for people who are new to growing plants as well as others who are more experienced.The probe is a good long size, so you can use it in big pots too.Great price for a great product! You get 2 so you can share it with a friend or measure 2 pots at the same time. Definitely recommend.

This water meter may have created a monster out of me! It is so easy to use. I had a Peace Lilly that wilted and even though I stuck my finger in the dirt, I thought it needed more water. Used the meter and it said the soil was wet. So I was slowly and surely killing my plant by overwatering. I use it on all my plants. You stick the probe in the soil and then it will read whether it is wet, moist or dry. How much easier can it get than that! And, when I ordered, I did not realize it came as a pack of 2. Bonus!! After I use the probe, I wipe it with a paper towel or cloth and it’s ready for the next time.
