I can get these for half price, but they don’t last. These are made better hold up to heat better than the others way better. I’m pulse mig welding the hottest you will be pleased I promise.

This works as it should. It makes a big difference when welding thicker/hotter material with the support hand.I'd have given it 5 stars, but the pictures imply that you get 2 pads. You get one. It's a nice one, but still...

I have been using this purchase for a couple of months now. It keeps my hang cool from heat and so also keeps my gloves in great condition.I highly recommend this product.

It really does its job, and does it well, it keeps the heat from my hand, and keeps sparks from sticking to my glove, and sleeves when I wear it lower.My best story with it however comes from when I wore it while using the oxy fuel torch, I felt a warm sort of moist feeling on the back of my hand, it made me think “what am I touching?” Once I put the torch down I realized a piece of orange molten metal had jumped onto my heat pad and stuck to it. It slid right off when I passed my glove over it, and didn’t even punch a hole through the pad! It left a circular burn mark, but zero penetration, and I hardly felt a thing! On top of that, the straps have been put through it, holes, and burns but they’re still going strong, definitely coming back to buy more when this one gives out, but I don’t see that happening any time soon.

First day of use I burned a 1/2x1" hole in the shield with the hand to close to the arc. Have continued to use shield which does its job. Have to be careful wiping off welds with the shield on as the elastic on the palm side is easily damaged by hot metal. Going to try another brand. This one works fine and makes big difference in perceived heat on back of hand but longevity looks to be marginal.
