This is a very well made and would’ve been excellent at resisting sparks from our fireplace except that I measured incorrectly & it was a bit small. Otherwise, there isn’t any other reason to not be satisfied with this product at this excellent price.

Very useful when using the soldering torch near a flammable surface. Protects good from the fire spreading around the flame. Should have one specially working very near of flammable material.

This blanket is great for fire protection when soldering in tight places. It is soft and easy to shape into place, but that also means it doesn’t stay put. You may need to pin it in place. Duct tape, I found doesnt stick to it too well. Will start to melt and develop a glaze with longer torch exposure

Using my smoker in the fall and winter is difficult with the cold weather. I tried other insulators, most of which melted. These work great and are very hear resistant. Much cheaper than official grill or smoker covers

I purchased the two pack for my Pit Barrel Smoker. Perfect fit using both blankets, used HD Bungie straps to hold the top and bottom. Worked perfectly?!! Smoked a pork roast like it was still summer time. Tomorrow..18# turkey. Seems very durable and a great value!!

I had to unsolder two sweated copper fittings close to an unfinished, but insulated, basement wall. I folded one of the blankets and put it behind before heating the joints. It takes more heat to take a fitting loose and these blankets helped make it a safe job.
