Your cart is empty.The Felt Store's High Temp Plumbers Pad is a lightweight and flexible, high temperature and heat resistant sheet to prevent spark or flame damage in small spaces. This pad is made of a tear resistant carbon fiber called PAN. PAN has a temperature resistance of 1800 degrees Fahrenheit which allows extreme heat and flame to come in direct contact with this material. The pad will not ignite, char or shrink whilst welding or soldering. It is a pliable and soft material that is scratch free if you are working with it on delicate surfaces or covering fragile objects. Please note that this pad is not electrically conductive. We recommend using this when welding, brazing or soldering pipes in small areas. Simply cover objects or surfaces when welding to prevent splatter or sparks from damaging your space or other items. This product is also available by the linear yard and in larger sheets. Our High Temp Plumbers Pad is black in color with a weight of 16oz. per square yard.

Ich musste ein T-Stück in eine Leitung neben einem Kunststoffabwasserrohr einlöten, ca. 1cm Abstand. Die Feuerschutzmatte hat das Rohr perfekt geschützt, zwischenzeitlich hat die Matte geglüht, aber alles ist gut gegangen. Top Produkt, dass ich hoffentlich nicht mehr brauche, da pressen so viel einfacher ist.

I had to redo plumbing in my son's house and I needed to sweat the copper pipes and this kept me from catching all sorts of things on fire. It definitely works and is worth the money. I would buy from this guy again and I would buy this product again

I use it for alcohol stoves (diy) and it does a great job wicking the alcohol. Does not melt, and lasts a long while. I would buy it again.

Acheté pour braser des raccords cuivre avec une lampe à souder le long de murs et plinthes peintes.Protection très efficace contre les brûlures, traces de chauffe...J'ai brasé mes raccords en toute sérénité sans me soucier de traverser avec la flamme. I use this as a buffer between my exhaust manifold and my skid plate since they were hitting eachother during bumps. It is directly touching my manifold. I haven't died in a car fire, yet, so this product is pretty good.

I cut a small piece and used it as a wick for an oil lamp. It won't quite last "forever" but compared to an ordinary wick... close enough :) Thanks Robert Murray-Smith for the great idea!

It's pricy for the dimensions, bulk sizes are about $3-4 per square foot for real carbon felt. It is great stuff, though. I use mine for safety under a modified Vargo Hexagon wood stove. Light and easy to pack. Good thing to have on hand when camping. If you are going to make a bunch of cat food can stoves, or need something to cut into pieces as heat protectors (an insulator for Esbit tabs on questionable surfaces), look at .
