Good for keeping the heat from burning my wooden table when laser burning, been a few months and there are no burn marks on my wooden table, and don't worry, I have a camera and monitor that I keep an eye on for any problems.

There's a design on youtube (paleo hiker MD) for making fast alcohol stoves and one key material in it is carbon felt. This material worked great for the stove and it allowed the stove to boil 2 cups of water in 5 minutes
