This is a large 4x6 foot fiberglass blanket that can help prevent burns on nearby material while welding, soldiering, etc. This is thick, heavy, and his quality. The ends are all stitched, so you shouldn't need to work about little slivers. This is thick enough to dissipate heat away from what it protects. I'm that, this functions great. Overall this seems like a good value.

This is a beast of a welding/fire blanket! It's thick and heavy duty, there's so many potential users for this thing. I'm the winter I can lay it over my smoker to help keep temp. I can place it over some smoldering embers to make sure I have hot coals in the morning or I can use it to protect other surfaces while I'm using a cutting torch or from welding splatter.I really like how big this thing is, it works great for covering a large area without needing to move it around as your work area moves. This thing is definitely with the cost and will save you a lot of money while it protects surrounding items or surfaces you don't want damaged from hot work. Definitely a great item to have on standby when you need it!

Does what its supposed to. I used this to solder and weld close to flammable objects. It handled the flame, heat, and sparks well. Still solid and no tears or burns.

I find that I am needing to weld in slightly enclosed environs once in awhile, and this really makes me feel much safer having it around to put up as a shield, for both floors and walls. I always try to work in an open environment because of the fumes from welding, but sometimes you have to work indoors, or at least a garage. This is very key in making sure that sparks do not reach areas you don't want them to go. I can surround my weld area on 3 sides while my body and apron cover the open side. IDEAL. Thank you!ps: a small set of low-rise workhorses is a good idea for making the wall of your own choice

This TOPDC Welding Blanket is one heavy duty welding blanket. At 4'×6' it is plenty big enough for the indoor welding I do. It provides great protection at a competitive price. Work great as well in my blacksmith shop when the sparks are flying!

Pretty rough welding blanket. The fabric is clearly a lower grade fiberglass weave that feels very rough to the hand, meaning there are many broken fibers. The edges are loosely hemmed and the eyelets are not reinforced. Definitely wear gloves when working with this one.If you are looking for a blanket to cover a smoker or grill, where you'll be moving it often, definitely look for a better quality blanket.Overall it'll be fine for a welding station but I wouldn't want to move it around that much. For a drop cloth under a welding setup, it'd be fine. For curtains though, I would probably use a better quality blanket.

Pleasantly surprised by the weight, thickness and flexibility!I use this curtain/blanket in my shop , where I'm an occasional, hobby welder, to protect people and the shop itself from flashes and sparks while welding and grinding. Since I don't have a dedicated welding workspace, this makes a great curtain for a corner. Also helps control the grit from grinding and slag.. I can block off an area and weld away inside- normally I'd be on the back of my flatbed, outside the shop door, but it's winter! I can also use this as a blanket- it's heavy enough to stay in place, and soft enough to conform to irregular surfaces, so if I'm welding near something like a car, or workbench, I can spread it out for protection. As I said, I was surprised at it's weight and soft flexibility, I've seen curtains in the past that were stiff and good for walls only. The stitching is perfect, no gaps, misses or frayed ends, and the grommets appear robust and tight. Heck, I might put this over my lap to protect my jeans!!Only wish? Twice the number of grommets. 3' spacing doesn't make temporary hanging easy-I'll be getting another very soon. Recommended.
