The router insert was too light-weight for anything but a small trim router. Mounting holes didnât match up with the tool to be used.

I bought this router insert plate with the intention of using it with a router bit that is 2 inches in diameter but it doesn't fit through the hole in the plate so it won't work for my needs. The image in the listing suggests the hole is 56mm across but it is actually just under 42mm.

I refitted to work with a porter cable plunge router. I used a 1 1/4 piece of ply for the insert mount, then adapted the whole thing to my table saw. It works good. Easier feeding material down a fence then free handing the router. I use for lots of small trim pieces. A whole router table probably better. But the more tools you have the more space you need. I like the portability, and o space. Price didn't hurt either. Just MTCW

Obvious return item. Greasy handprints, scratches and dings where the previous owner attempted to attach a tool. The little miter guide was assembled in wherever, upside down. Nobody cares at the manufacturer. A smart person could rework the parts and make it a useable product if necessary. But is was not new nor made correctly.
