It fit my Bosch router table well. Note that it is the same as the fixed base, without the handles. It's the ultimate convenience for those of us that don't want to remove the base and router from the router table base plate.

The retaining washer on the adjustment rod fails quickly. That could be an easy design improvement. Otherwise, the device works well. Installed on Bosch router table and router.

I own the Bosch higher powered router that comes with the plunge base and the regular base. I purchased the Bosch router attachment for my Festool rail, and this for my router table. I have 2 Dewalt trim routers, and those get used for most handheld operations. But God, I love my Bosch router. It's so much more powerful. This attachment is the most worthwhile thing I bought. It allows you to easily remove your router from the table, or put it on. Adjusting the height of the bit from the top of the table and that it's always hooked up and ready to go, just slide the router in make it so worth every penny. The build quality is what you'd expect from Bosch, it's not overly bulky or anything but has a nice weight to it. Putting it on the table and centering it with the centering cone was so easy. I'd recommend this to anyone with a Bosch router. You won't be disappointed. And Bosch stands behind their products, so you have the peace of mind knowing you and your investment are protected.

Works much like a router lift and stays mounted in table. Now fixed base is available for handheld uses without having to remove from the table

I ordered this base to replace the exact same base that came with the Bosch router I purchased. I bought the router to use with with a Bosch router table I bought, got everything installed and leveled, and then attempted to adjust the bit height from the top of the table. Bad idea. The manual clearly states that you have to undo the clamp on the router before you adjust the height. I was an idiot and did not read the manual, and it didn't even feel like I was breaking anything as I attempted to adjust it with the lock engaged.Once I ordered this replacement base, I got everything squared away and it works perfectly. Height adjustment from the table top is simple (UNLOCK THE MOTOR WHILE ADJUSTING). Haven't had any major issues with things flexing or whatnot while running hundreds of feet of pine baseboard through it to create my own profile. Definitely a solid base, worth the money.

I'd advise anyone considering this item to review it on its merits. To be clear, this item is a modified version of your standard fixed baseplate, with a few minor changes make it router-table friendly.1) It uses beefier 10-24 screws for mounting. This is an important upgrade over the m4 screws that the standard baseplate uses. And it makes sense, since in this configuration the screws are supporting the weight of a router as it is cutting. I feel a lot more confident with the thicker screws.2) the micro adjust knob is accessible from above the table through a hex-key opening, and it works very well. I've never used a rout-r-lift type mechanism, but I have to imagine that this is a poor man's version and it works pretty darn well.3) Doesn't have the maple knobs. While not an upgrade per se, it's cheaper than the standard baseplate. And if you're building your own baseplate, removing the knobs allows for a baseplate with a smaller footprint.Judged on it's own merits: I love this thing. I'm able to keep my regular baseplate free for other routing tasks. Sure, it has shortcomings. It only works with specific Bosch Router, it's not made out of surgical steel, blah blah blah ... but if you have THIS specific Bosch router and you want a permanent baseplate for your router table, it's perfect.

I purchased this base to use in the Bosch laminate router table . It works great, it is easy to mount to the plate of the table, and the above table access is easy to use.I did run into one minor gremlin. The threaded post that drives the lift function has a small metal locking clip at the bottom of the post. This clip is what holds the post in place vertically. When it is hung from the table, this clip is what is holding up the weight of the router when you have the main lock undone and are screwing the router up or down.My clip kept sliding down the post, so that the lift basically became useless. I could see where the clip was basically turning itself down on the shaft. My work around was to purchase a cheap set of drill stop collars. The 1/4" collar, mounted on the post with a set screw is far sturdier and kept things in place.Overall, other than this one issue, I really love the unit and it's going to be really handy having an extra base that I can leave mounted all the time.PLEASE NOTE - One thing that wasn't clear in my reading is that this base is basically the same one that comes with the Bosch 2.25hp router as the fixed base (when you get the fixed / plunge base combo) , the only difference is that it does not have a plastic plate at the bottom. So if you're struggling to pay for the router and table, you could use the base that comes with the router, then add this one later and use it as your fixed base. Just a thought to the cheap!
