Others have mentioned damage during shipping, and I must say, this was a concern of mine when I purchsed this item. I was pleasantly surprised when the package showed up with extensive protection on the edges. When unboxing the table, I found zero damage to the table, rails, or legs. The instructions are typical Festool, a little jumbled and unclear, so be sure to watch a couple of videos on YouTube about properly setting up the table. The most important thing is to make absolutely certain the guide rail is square to the fence on the back. Once you do this, your crosscuts will be perfect every time. Overall I am very pleased with the table and look forward to buying more accessories for this extremely versatile, well-made Festool product. Expensive, but worth it. I will likely build a roll-around base for it with storage and remove the somewhat wobbly legs. Since this is a dedicated shop tool, I am not concerned about the portability of the table. I definitely recommend this product.

If you're in the market for an MFT table, you already know why they're a great tool. I'll likely be getting rid of my 12" miter saw and stand since this will do everything the miter saw does. But I did want to post this because when I set it up, I squared the rail to the table bench dog holes & it was spot on. Then I squared it to the fence, also spot on. Finally I adjusted the miter gauge with just a hair needed to get the pointer perfect. Festool manufacturing at it's best. No need to mess around getting it adjusted. Much easier than squaring up my (non-Festool) miter saw and table saw. We'll worth the cost.

Some people say that the MFT is overpriced and too flimsy. That made me a little nervous when I was considering purchasing it.It is very sturdy for what I will use it for, such as cross cutting wide panels and holding pieces that I will sand or cut domino slots into.It took some work to get it assembled. Some of the attachments were very tight and I had to work to get them into their locations. Also, I had to adjust the stop on the front to square up the track to the fence. But it all went together and it is working just fine. So far I have cut some panels and some domino slots (mortises). I am looking forward to trying out some other techniques.

A pretty well designed product. The size of the crosscut reduces its usage.

The table arrived damaged. I returned it and bought another one. This one also had damage but I kept it. Vender never refunded the money. Repeated emails did not help. Thankfully amazon refunded the money.Table itself is good, a little overpriced

Overall, the table is great and if purchase it if I had to make the choice again.Pros: It has a lot of accessories that make this far more than a simple table to cut your sheets of plywood. The layout for the stops and tabletop clamps are great. The side rails that help for clamping your wood to sand or plane long prices more easily. The MDF top can be replaced fairly easily, when the time comes. The ability to cut with the guide nearly makes this and the track saw able to replace a table saw.Cons: The separately purchased stabilizing leg support is absolutely necessary. They should have been included. The fact that the table is still a light weight, folding table, means that it is not always a stable work surface. Manual hand planers might need a table that can withstand the pushing force needed. Finally, the cost is a little more than I think it's fair... and I own most of Festool's tool library, so that is saying something. In conclusion, aside from the few cons, the table is absolutely a great purchase. It is used every day in my shop.

whether you work in a small home shop, work on projects in and around your home, or work at a jobsite, this may be one of the most flexible work tables I have ever owned. I never considered one for my workshop because they seemed a ridiculous expense for a folding card table with holes, when I needed to work on a project around the house I bought the collapsible dewalt tables - far easier on the wallet, but also far less useful. then I tried a bora centipede which wasn’t bad but my number one complaint is you can’t store anything underneath it and it’s really difficult to level if you are on uneven ground, and while you can use hold downs, bench dogs, it really doesn’t work well with clamps around the edge. So then I tried an mft/3 almost hating myself for spending. when it arrived I put it together pretty well ignoring the instructions and really liked the leveling, the solidness of the table top and really liked the T-track around the edge. well when I got a little further along I set the tape up and it really does shine - no I am no sedge with it but I like it. I bought the smaller lean on and that really upped the functionality of the table. I finally bought a second one for the particular project I am working on and trying to manage a great teal of long, expensive hardwood. I will confess I saw sedge use the two protractors and it seemed genius - I don’t move the board I move the saw and I don’t have to worry about over hang. the cuts are all repetitive…and while I probably could use the miter saw and wings I can do all the layout joinery, drill cabinet wholes and and then move to the next board. I do like the addition of the stabilizer bar and agree at this price it should be included. As far as the MFT vs MFT/3 debate, I will also repeat what sedge said and even if you don’t want the protractor and that stuff, the 1080 track is more than the difference in the two options.while I am gray to have shipping since I live 3 hrs from the nearest dealer, I do think that two boxes is not too much to ask. The last one I got, they had also added the HD white cardboard corners and it helped, but as you see from the pictures the tape on the ends had completely given up and the inter box had a huge hole - I am fortunate that nothing was lost or damaged.I do wish there was an optional lower shelf as wheel as a couple of wheels that could integrate into the t-track. putting these up and down by yourself would be a ton easier. finally, there is so many optional parts and add-ons that this once again becomes a platform. I also wish there was a systainer with the cut outs for the pieces or a soft bag to store them long pieces in. Do I wish I had bought one 7 years ago when I spent weeks belaboring the point. the bora centipede is a card table…this is a portable bench!

This bench works great. It's easy to setup and tear down. The fence and rail are dead on once set. It's functional enough to replace a tablesaw or mitersaw in many cases for the average homeowner, then folds away against the wall. Nice!It has 20mm bench holes so it doesn't work well with 3/4" dogs. The 3/4" will fit but they'll be a little sloppy so you can wrap them with painters tape to make the fit better.I do plan to move to 20mm bench dogs as this seems to be the world standard.

Class bit of kit, I use both of mine for many different jobs but i mostly have one set up ready to crosscut panels and the other for clamping timber for routing or sanding. They are also get used as an in-feed and out-feed setup for the festool CMS.Due to the high price I wouldn't recommend purchasing this table for occasional DIY. It really comes into its own when implemented into a festool tool arrangement as most of their saws and routers interconnect with the guide rails system and make for a very modular, space saving setup.

This thing costs a fortune, so it should be good. But once you set it up you start to realise you own a table saw, a router table, (as long as you own the relevant equally eye wateringly expensive Festool power tools), and the more you look at it (and the more bits you buy: clamps, dogs etc., will add another £100 to the bill) you realise you own a dovetail jig, and a host of other possibilities. Youtube has a raft of good videos on ideas for using the table. So, it's like everything Festool: a terrifying investment that you end up glad you made. Just don't think the cost of the table is the end of it.
