I really like this Aiper Scuba X1 robot for the pool.It is easy to use, I don't have to program anything. I can just drop it in and pull it out when finished. What puts this cleaner above another I've tried is the basket. When the pool was re-opened and full of gunk it filled up and was easy to clean out with the hose. I didn't have to get grossed out by touching the debris. After all the bigger gunk was removed the water was still cloudy and particles were still floating. I added the fine mesh and couldn't believe how much tiny garbage it collected. It was facinating! Once the pool was cleaned and cleared it just gets dropped in and picks up any leaves that have ended up on the bottom and my pool looks great.Odd but when it's cleaning the walss and pops up on the edge of the pool it is a little creepy but cool at the same time. Our big doggy doesn't know what to make of it. He sits by the edge watching it do it's job and acts all puppyish when it comes up.It isn't light weight but it isn't really heavy either. I can manage it and I'm not a strong person. I like that it's rechargable and that after it's done it's job, I just pull it out of the pool and set it aside to drain before putting it to recharge for the next time. This Aiper Scuba is so much more convenient than our Barracuda was to use. I don't have to get water in it and to get it going and I don't have to stick my arms in the skimmer to connect and check the sections for cracks and damage, making it less work. The best part of this robot is how easy the debris backet is to clean compared to having to open the pump to clear the basket and then get that lid back on. This something that sometimes I can't do without help as like I said, I don't have a lot of strength. My husband has brought home a few of the neighbours that have pools to check it out. I know we are very happy with this robot.

This cordless robotic pool cleaner has truly impressed me, standing out as my favorite among the several pool cleaning robots I've tried. It’s a significant step up from manual vacuuming or even corded robots, bringing a lot of convenience to pool maintenance.Functionality: This robot is designed for inground pools up to 2,150 sq.ft and boasts 6600 GPH high-power suction with dual-jet technology, which I've found tackles debris effectively. The cordless design is incredibly liberating; I simply drop it in, and it gets to work without me having to manage cables. Its ability for horizontal waterline scrubbing and wall climbing is particularly impressive, as it can stick itself above the waterline to scrub (this still amazes me). It offers multiple cleaning paths, including S-shaped, grid (very precise for rectangular pools), and adaptive/random modes for oddly shaped pools, providing good coverage. It comes with a huge debris basket and a dual filter system (coarse and micro), which is good for catching everything from large leaves after a storm to fine silt and even pollen. The object avoidance sensor seems to work well, helping it navigate around skimmer inlets and water jets. It runs for a substantial 180 minutes on a full charge.Ease of Assembly & Maintenance: Setting it up is straightforward. The charging dock is very convenient – I just drop it on the dock, though I've learned to let it dry first to protect the charging contacts. The debris basket is large, but cleaning the very fine micro filter can take some time with a hose to thoroughly remove all particles. Its self-contained design means I don't have to mess with vacuum hoses anymore, which is a huge relief.Limitations & Comparison: While it excels in many areas, I've noted a few typical limitations for this class of robot. It doesn't map the pool (like similar expensive models do), but its built-in patterns still seem to cover the pool well. When the micro filter is installed, suction can be reduced, making wall climbing harder. It also struggles with rounded steps and seating areas, backing away from sharp curves – this seems common for its model type, with larger or more advanced robots handling these specific areas better. Also, its WiFi and Bluetooth don't connect underwater, meaning I can't change modes or check battery status while it's cleaning, which is a minor inconvenience.Value for Money: Despite these specific limitations, the overall effectiveness, convenience, and high-power suction offered by this cordless robot make it a very impressive and valuable tool for pool owners. Its performance is superior to other cordless robots I've tried, making it a worthwhile investment for maintaining a clean pool.

I did not have high hopes that this robot vacuum would do anything amazing in our pool. I previously tried one from another brand that was half the cost of this one, and I was lucky if it didn't get stuck and give up in less than 30 seconds (it would always get stuck at some point - totally useless).Much to my surprise, this Aiper is hands down incredible. Charged it up, dropped it in the pool, watched in amazement as it crawled up walls and scrubbed the waterline. It then proceeded to cover the rest of my pool over a nearly 3 hour span.I don't have a huge pool, it is a an above ground 12x24, so perhaps this bot is a little overkill, but I don't care - it has eliminated the need for me to ever vacuum. It picks up the tiniest of stuff, all the way up to the big leaves and small branches, and it hits my whole pool every time.I have literally zero complaints. The default 'mode' for the robot will have it clean your pool bottom and up to the waterline of the walls. You can change it to do just the floor, just the waterline, or just the walls. I find it has ample battery life to stick to the standard mode and do all three (floor, walls, waterline).I even toss it in under my solar cover sometimes, and that's when I switch it to floor only. Easy to forget its even in there but its doing the job!I will note this robot is HEAVY, so if you're not able to lift significant weight to haul this around, you may want to think twice. Especially when removing from the pool and it is full with water. When it comes to maintenance, I've used it a few dozen times already and it looks brand new. No signs of wear to any components. The app helps to tell you the "health" of things like the main rollers as well.Emptying the bin isn't too bad, either. They apparently upgraded the mesh liner of the basket in this version versus the original, and not only is it a super fine, thick material that picks up literally sand, it is super easy to hose off. You just take the main basket out of the robot, then remove the the basket that's inside of the big one, pull down and off the mesh liner, and I start hosing them all off. Takes about 5 minutes to clean them all and I haven't had to do anything more extreme like hand scrub the mesh liner or anything. You can watch it turn from brown to white as you hose it down, and the big pieces stuck to it wash right off.It does take a while to charge but that's fine, I leave it by our backdoor plugged in until the next morning. I don't use the stand it came with which is cool and all so the robot is able to be dropped on to it for charging (don't have to plug it in), but since I don't have the space for that someplace outside I just use the charging cord. If you do have a space to leave the dock, great, that will make your life slightly easier! When the bot is done vacuuming, it finds a spot near a wall and leaves itself at the bottom of the pool on an angle so you can easily hook it to pull out. They really thought through the design on this thing. And the best part? It has NEVER gotten stuck! Amazing. It navigates around with zero issue, even my steps that are quite wide. I was surprised it started to climb and scrub the sides of the steps. When it found the actual steps themselves and hit them head on, it stopped at the edge of the bottom step and moved on (versus climbing up the steps and likely flipping over). The sensors on this thing are perfect. So, if you're considering a robot vacuum, I'd say go for this - even if you have a bigger pool than I do, it'll get the job done, and usually on the first pass.

I was really excited to try this over my other major brand robot. The biggest selling point was the extra fine mesh filter. Add in all the sensors and what not, and I thought this was going to be a home run. Boy was I disappointed. First, this thing is HEAVY. If you have an above ground pool, beware. Battery life is excellent, which I assume is part of the weight. The first run, I let it run on just floor and its default pattern. That was a bust. You could see that it missed huge areas. Turned to the "random" (cant remember what they call it) mode, and that was much better. I have no idea what the sensors do, but it seems like nothing. Its no "smarter" than my $500 machine. The microfilter is awesome for sure too. Overall, is it worth $1500? Nope. Not even close. If you get a good deal on it though, its decent.***Update****Aiper reached out and gave a bunch of info and addressed some of my concerns. They really do seem to want to take care of you. Part of the extra weight on this is the extra motor for increased suction. It really does "suck" so I can believe it does help. While the extra sensors did nothing to help me in my above ground pool, if you have a weird shaped in-ground, apparently, they are supposed to help a lot there. Still stick by most of my review, but adding a star back just because of the great customer service.
