I ordered this to repair a few posts of cat trees that were loved too much! This diameter works well and is fairly easy to attach using hot glue - though it can be a time-consuming project and the rope twists easily. This rope does shed fibers are it is being worked and, later, as the cats scratch the posts. However, this has been the same for every jute or sisal rope that I have purchased in the past. On the positive side, the cats seem to like it!

We saved a ton of cash. Rather than buying a new giant cat tree and two scratching posts, I refurbished them using this rope. It's thicker than what was there before, sturdy yet gentle on their little paws. The kitties are all about scratching the posts now, and there's hardly any mess since this rope doesn't shed like the old stuff. Great quality, and it worked like a charm for fixing up my cats' scratching post.

I used this rope on the legs of the cat's new food table (thanks to the dog forcing this setup), and it works great. The quality is top-notch, and the cats seem to love it - so we're giving it a paws-up review!
