One is enough for a single post. I bought two. I didn’t notice a strong smell mentioned in other reviews. I twisted the rope tight as I wrapped it. It looks good and is holding up so far. The cats like it.

Perfect for a rewrap of the cat tower. Seems to hold up to kitty nails better than the original.

Didn't be fooled by the photo... The package is the size of a hockey puck. It said 33ft (it's 10m which is 32.8ft) and to be honest I had no idea what that would really look like. My photos show you the honest amount that 33ft would get you 🤦♀️

This rope has a strong smell that may drive your cats away. I haven’t tested the quality yet I’m still trying to get the smell out by airing it out. Since there is an oily smell, I may try to use a combination of baking soda and dish soap and let that soak in hot water.

The first spool I got of this in black was fine but I needed a bit more. It was easy to put on a hanger and dispense what you need as you go. Ordered 66 feet again and it was only half of the length I ordered. I was covering the same length and diameter cat tree post as the one I did before and it was much shorter. It was also bundled in a giant loop which wasn't nearly as helpful as being in a spool format for wrapping posts.

Rope has strong obnoxious industrial petroleum smell not quite as bad as gasoline. Will not "air out" after 3 days outside home. DEFINITELY not suitable for pet use, believe it's toxic.
