This natural sisal rope is a decent thickness and quality to repair cat furniture on which the existing sisal rope is frayed or torn. It's a medium thickness (pictured two different cat trees for comparison) and a darker shade than the rope on some of my cats' furniture but is still suitable to use for repair. There was no odd smell on the rope after unpacking. Total length is good for shorter poles but one would definitely need to order additional kits for much larger jobs.

Replacement product for my cat tower. It doesn’t shed and has no smell. It works for my needs and my cats! I used a glue gun to attach to the round scratching post.

So if you have a cat you probably have cat towers and cats that like to scratch them, and you know that eventually that sisal wrap starts to fall apart, and this is the perfect solution for that! This is a smaller size rope, so it's great for small Towers or if you just want it to be a much tighter wrap, this will work good for that too but you'll need a lot more rope. It's great quality, it doesn't have any smells, and that's definitely something that you want to watch for, since your cats will be in close proximity with this rope. It feels very strong and durable, it's a nice color and will very likely be an upgrade to whatever your cat tower came wrapped in already.

Nice rope for the post-scratcher for my cats. It smells very strong though. It's been airing out for over a week and I can still smell it.

A decent amount of rope, but there are less expensive options out there for more length. My cats did a number on a lower quality scratcher, so I needed to replace the rope. No noticable odor! Decent thickness and holding up so far against relentless scratching. Time will tell though.

Not a whole lot I can say about this, except it seems to be good quality sisal rope. I'm planning to re-do my cat's scratching post with it. Although the rope I received does have a slightly weird smell to it, I did not experience the strong chemical smell that another reviewer did.

It’s a good, thick sisal rope. I prefer to re rope my cat scratching post than just toss them when they get too worn. This is a good long length of thick sisal rope. It’s nice and uniform, doesn’t go thin/thick like some to. A hot glue gun helps keep it in place. Nice quality and will cover a whole post.

It seems that when advertising this sisal for cats, no one took into account the fact that cats have an extremely sensitive sense of smell. This sisal rope has a very strong chemical smell that renders it unusable as I am allergic to chemical fragrance and my cat would likely become very sick faced with this strong smell all the time. I would return it if I could.
