I use this for sifting decomposed granite that I buy in bags from big box stores. This set is perfect for me to separate different sizes of DC that I use for top dressing or inorganic material for my cactus and succulents. I'm so glad I purchased this, it's not easy to find all the different net sizes like this.

This screen set is prefect for cleaning and sorting seeds. The right number of easy-to-interchange screens with the right mesh sizes, and a high rim so nothing slops out. Compact for storage and transport. Cleans easily. Probably also good for other horticultural applications such as screening small amounts of sand, and soil. Might also be useful in the kitchen but my set is reserved for seeds

Got this for my students as we study soil. Wonderful product! Was a good price and good for classroom use. This tool is expensive, but this was a good deal. Students love using this and other sieves and filter as well. They love to sort and categorize and asked for several more opportunities to use it. Was a hit!

This is perfect! You can spend way more money on others, and these are going to be just perfect for harvesting seeds from a variety of different plants. Carrot seeds are very tiny, and the smallest diameter sieve will be just perfect for that, and there is plenty of variety to apply to many different types of seeds. You could even use this to dry out herbs and save space. Very please with the quality and affordability of this product.

One of the screens was already unraveled/detached from edge in a small area when the product was received.

For some reason I thought these were made from stainless steel, but mine started to rust. Fine for small jobs, but if you want to sift more than a gallon of anything, you may find the labor of shaking the device a bit much.

Works like a sieve. The only problem I had is that some of the mesh wire ends weren't secured properly to the circular rim, so when I interchanged the discs I ended up stabbing my finger and drawing blood on several occasions. Nothing major, but something to look out for if you purchase it. I ended up using pliers to snip the sharp bits, and now these function normally and safely

I bought the sieves for gravel classification while panning for precious metals. This item is perfect for that. Not only the ease of use,the durability is perfect. The per square screen are exactly the size someone would need for doing the gold dirt panning hobby. I'm quite happy with this item. The package is the right size for transporting also.
