This Lab Sieves 220 Mesh, Economy Test Sieve is great for so many things. I originally ordered it to use in the kitchen, which is works well for. I ended up using it on my fish tanks though. My fish tanks are decorated to look as natural as possible, and I use a fine sand for the substrate at the bottom. The small size of the sifter and the fine mesh liner makes this perfect for getting in the bottom of my tanks and sifting the sand without uprooting my plants. I love how convenient this is! It's so solid, well made, and quality feeling too!

It's pretty hard to tell the quality of an item like this from a picture, but I took a chance and was please with this sieve. It's built pretty well and worked as expected. I'm sure this will last a long time. The only comment that I have is that I didn't pay very close attention to the actual size, so when I got it, it was a lot smaller than I expected. But the smaller size actually worked out better for me anyway. But for anyone else buying this, please note the size and verify that it's the right diameter for your intended application.
