This is such a solid, heavyweight sieve. Substantial 304 stainless and a weighty mesh with 4mm openings. Useful for any sort of sifting, whether soil, flour, tea leaves, anything granular that needs separation. It doesn't deform at all even if filled with something heavy to be sifted. The underside has the mesh slightly inset, so the rim can securely engage with a container of the same inside diameter, so the sieve can be moved around to sift without getting the contents all over the counter. I was truly surprised and thrilled with the quality of this instrument. The price seems appropriate for something of this quality.

This review is for the PATIKIL 1000 Mesh Lab Sieve, 4" Diameter Test Sieve 304 Stainless Steel Wire Cloth (0.02mm) for Industrial Laboratory.My application for the PATIKIL sieve was clarifying lime juice. Unfortunately the flow rate is too slow to be practical. I will have to try vacuum filtration. This does not detract from the PATIKIL. It is a well made sieve and deserves five stars.
