Small, high quality stackable sieves available in 53 micron, 120 micron, 250 micron, and 850 micron at an unbeatable price! These sieves are very popular and are available individually or in a set of four sieves. All sieves are constructed of PVC framing and laboratory grade stainless steel mesh, and can be used in freshwater or saltwater. Stacking additional sieves reduces the number of passes required to achieve the separation you desire. These sieves are perfect for yout small cultures of Rotifers, Copepods, Amphipods, Daphnia, Ciliates, and Artemia. Larger mesh sizes are useful in removing larger unwanted contaminants from culture media. Smaller diameter sieves fit easily into your hand. Rough texture and color-coded silicon bands allow for sure grip in wet environment. Silicon bands are debossed with the micron size of the sieve, and along with the glow-in-the-dark color, make identification in low light easy. Sieves are great for rinsing frozen fish food while thawing! For best results when stacking sieves, make sure to place the smaller micron sieve at bottom, increasing as additional sieves are stacked on top. For longer service life of sieves, be sure to rinse with distilled or RO/DI water and dry with lint-free soft cloth after every use.

Copepods get stuck in the crack. I noticed a week later, a bunch of dead ones stuck in the sieve

I have this sieve for a while now and I’m not sure why it eroded creating holes. It’s supposed to be plastic? Or is it metal? I use it for my rotifers to breed fish.

Great product...works well for marine pod culture. Purchased larger 4" version after because larger size is easier to work with. Wash with fresh water after use and dry thoroughly and these screens should last a long time

I use this sieve for a few aquarium related tasks. I filter my live phytoplankton to remove the larger chunks prior to splitting the culture. I use it to harvest copepods. It is also great if you hatch your own brine shrimp. I considered making these myself but for the price of these, it isn't worth the hassle.

I have a 15 gallon and 30 gallon reef tank and grow my own small cultures of pods. These sieves work great for separating pods. This is a well thought out set for the price. If you make bigger cultures, you will want a larger diameter than 2", but for me this fits into my culture tubs well. The larger mesh sizes work for rinsing food pieces like frozen shrimp, too.
