Fit my Nutone #769RL perfectly so the install was fairly easy. On the downside it is a pretty noisy fan & not as quiet as the original Fan. I suspect that this product had been a return since the shipping box with inserted fan looked to have been opened & repacked. It did operate OK even though it's noisy. My old fan worked but made very loud noise on cold mornings so that's why I ordered this new product. After I finished installing the new one I cleaned & oiled the old fan which now seems to work fine even though it's over 30 yrs old! I'm keeping the old Fan since I don't have faith in this new one and I wouldn't be surprised if I would have to put the old one back in!

Finding a replacement motor for my ancient, noisy bathroom fan was a real pain. I tried a couple of "compatible" kits, but they just didn't fit. Then I stumbled upon this aftermarket motor, and it was a perfect match! It was significantly quieter than my old 4.0 sones fan, even before it started making those awful noises.The installation was surprisingly easy, even without instructions. It took about 15 minutes, not counting the time I spent securing the housing. Years of vibrations had loosened it up! My advice: compare the old and new motors before you start to make sure everything lines up properly.There was a slight rattling at first, but it turned out the old fan blades were so grimy they caused vibrations and loosened the vent housing. A quick tightening and a bead of caulk around the housing fixed that right up. Now the fan is practically whisper-quiet – as quiet as a 3.0 sones fan can be!I did eventually find the official OEM replacement, but I'm happy with this one.
