I finally got around to replacing the motor in my bathroom and like a few others have mentioned I had to swap the bottom and top motor pieces in order for it to work with the configuration of the metal housing.It seems to work fine and the rotation is unimpaired to my notice. There is the low normal hum and a slight fan noise so I am going to keep an eye on it to make I have the installation correct, but overall it was pretty simple.I would double check your housing if you purchase this to avoid having to do the same, but it does seem to be a functional way to use it. Hoping for the best.

I just installed this, and I like that it is fairly quiet! However, I had the same issue that was posted by another purchaser: the shaft is just a smidge too long. My fan housing has two tabs on one side and a screw on the other that attach to the upper housing. Instead of grinding the shaft, I loosened the screw a little to where the shaft was not hitting the upper housing. The housing for the light bulb, along with the plastic vent grill, pull down on the fan housing, so that seems to help prevent any vibration or rattling from the slightly-loosened screw: it works great! If that changes, I'll have to take it apart and grind the shaft. Other than that, it was an easy install.

It has been installed for a couple of months. It is quiter then the old one. It was easy to install 2 screws and two small bolts. The fit was perfect

I bought these to replace the innards of my bathroom fans that shrieked like banshees. It was pretty easy to swap these out. The configuration was slightly different than what was existing, but i was able to make it work perfectly fine with the original screws. Thatโs not on the seller at all, thatโs on me ordering the slightly wrong thing. And it still worked perfectly!! Now i can use the bathroom with a peaceful low-volume hum vs the sound Godzilla makes as he assaults Tokyo

Worked fine. Quiet. I did have to remove screws holding motor together to properly mount to my frame. If you do that be sure to hold motor together.

i used this to replace my nutone 769rf bathroom motor and fan.i put this motor and fan into the old fan housing and it fit perfectly.turned it on -- and it works. its not as loud as the old nutone -- probably because its less powerful -- but hey -- you can't beat the price. i'm gonna buy another one to replace the other bathroom motor/fan that is making a lot of noise.
