I like everything about these scissors, would strongly suggest getting a pair like these (this brand) with the belt clip on the actual scissors as the holders and cases can be rather bulky, these are awesome, I use them for everything not nailed down. Great quality and exceeds any expectations I had, all around perfect! Will be buying another pair just to have on hand!

tl;dr:Get these for the cool-factor, not for practicality. You know the mall-ninja in you always wanted the "real" version ;)In terms of function, these absolutely work as shears and are very sharp, but the extra steps to unfold these make them cumbersome to use, especially when needed fast. You can keep them holstered unfolded, but they're still bulkier and heavier than disposable shears. The other features are nice, but you'll probably never use them.Regardless, I'm recommending these because they're a more affordable "clone" of Leatherman's Raptor Rescue shears which I've always wanted, and they function as advertised. They're also significantly higher quality than I expected for the $30 price.Details:First off, if these show up in your "Recommended" section on Amazon, you already know "what" these are. And if you're like me, you've always wanted the real deal but could never justify spending 80 bucks or so.These are NOT Leatherman's "Raptor Rescue" foldable shears. These are "Generic" foldable shears that look and function very similarly, sold by a random company. Coincidence? Who knows... ;)What I do know is that these are less than 1/3rd the price of Leatherman's version which already sets these ahead.Despite the lower price, these things feel like the real deal. The metal is pretty thick and hefty and I see some hints of CNC millwork past the textured surface. The fit and finish on my pair were also flawless. All sharp edges were sharp with zero burrs, nicks, or any other imperfections. Same with all other parts. The hinges were pre-oiled and had the right amount that didn't leak or run everywhere (You'll might still want to wipe the excess).Impressive for the price. With all that said, I have to contend to a bit of reality here.Despite the overall quality and look, along with the additional features you'll likely never use, these sheers offer no other practical utility over other trauma sheers other than looking cool.In fact, I'd argue this style of trauma sheer (including Leatherman) are significantly more cumbersome to use to use if you keep them folded. Here's the thing: Trauma sheers are designed with three goals in mind: Cheap, simple, and effective. In fact, most trauma sheers are intended to be disposable (with some able to be autoclaved) if they're soiled with biohazards. That's why they're cheap. As for these folding sheers, they neither cheap nor simple. They are, however, effective. These are sharp and can easily cut through multiple layers of denim and a few layers of leather. They seem pretty durable too and will stay sharp for a while and the (non-serrated) edge can likely be sharpened. If you keep these sheers folded in the holster, then you'll need to unfold them before use and fold them after. Remember, you lose a lot of gross motor skills with adrenaline, so you'll probably fumble a bit. Add tactical or extraction gloves and these might be difficult to manage. The other option is to holster them unfolded, like a regular pair of cheap shears.Regardless of whether you keep them folded or not, they're always going to be more bulky than the cheapo shears.Furthermore, for 30 bucks, these are anything but disposable and I hope these can be sanitized and/or autoclaved if soiled with biohazards.Ultimately, I recommend these because these are a high-quality affordable alternative to a more popular brand, and function as advertised.

Although this is not the name brand version of the trauma shears, these are a great option at a much friendlier purchase point. The holster is a super snug fit and it attaches really securely to my radio strap. The shears seem to be designed for a larger hand, in my opinion. Overall though, these are still much better than the conventional shears you see everywhere.

Notice: This product was received at no charge as part of the Amazon Vine program but this is an unbiased review. In an emergency having the right tool is critical for taking care of the situation. That's where this handy tool comes in. It's surprising small when it’s all folded up in its carrying case. The case can be looped on your belt or on a backpack strap. The tool fits tight in the case and it’s secure, you have little worries it will fall out.The trauma shears have essential functions you’ll need if something happens in an emergency. It’s especially useful for a car crash. Most people underestimate how hard it is to break the shatter-proof glass in a car window, but using the sharp pointed window breaking tool on the end of the handle will get you in the car quickly. There is a seat belt cutter to rescue a crash victim, and it can be used for cutting straps too. The cutting shears are sharp and they cut through fabric or ropes like they were butter. There are other tools they have ingeniously designed in this small package. In case of a finger injury where the finger starts to swell up, you need to get any rings off. This has a ring cutter for thinner type bands. A huge graduating class ring will probably be too much, but it will get through other smaller rings. There is a 5 cm ruler on one of the blades of the shears too. There is a multifunction tool that looks like a key with flathead screwdriver, a hex head tool and a bottle opener. It will come in handy in a pinch when you’re needing to loosen a screw or bolt. All in all, the different tools all work great and I’ll be keeping this in my car in case of an emergency or just when I need a cutting tool around the shop or home. But if worse comes to worse, this could literally be a lifesaver.

Folded up they fit very nicely in the tool roll style pouch I use as my first aid/trauma kit that I keep in the truck. I used to work as a mountain first responder and wish that I had had a pair of these back then. I don't use the included holster, but it does keep the shears secure. Everything about these feels pretty solid, but there is a tiny bit of play in the folding mechanism when locked open. And mind your fingers while closing!

I like how it folds up and that it also comes with a belt case. Looks well built. Will test in the field.
