Didn’t want to fork out for a raptor. These are great. Easy to use, compact and durable. The bright handles make them easy to find if they are ever dropped. Love the color options. They are pretty substantial so if you aren’t going to use the included holster, which is pretty good, then make sure you’ve got some strong pocket material to hold the weight. Best value for folding trauma shears. Would definitely purchase again.

I use these at work all the time and they’re incredible. Very durable, easy to use, and fit well in my pocket. They open quickly for emergent situations. Well worth the price and work just as well as Raptors.

Im a nurse/Paramedic, and a volunteer firefighter and I've had many, many shears throughout the years and these are my absolute favorite! They replace so many tools in my medic bag and gives me more space to fill with other items! The fit great on my belt and are so easy to use! I love these shears!! I knew it had an O2 tank key, but wasn't really wanting them for that, but then the need arose and instead of searching for the one, that should have been, attached to the tank, or searching through my bag for the plastic green or black one, I recalled the one on the shears and it saved me so much precious time!!! The glass breaking point is literally on point!! And the shears are amazing, and can cut through anything they need to!! I haven't used the seat belt cutter yet, but im absolutely sure they'll work like they should, and I love this holster!! These shears are just all around awesome!!! If you're a firefighter, medic, nurse, or you work in the medical field, these shears are a MUST for your tool bag!! So worth the money, and now all my co-workers and volunteer brothers and sisters are all buying them!! So worth it!! GREAT BUY! I'd give em 10 stars if I could, and if you read any of my other reviews, you'll know how brutally honest I am!! So when I say these are worth it, they sooooo are!! You won't regret this buy!!!!

So let me start off by saying I do own two (2) pairs of Leatherman Raptors and has served me well. However, sometimes I cringe when I have to lend it to a colleague of mind.I opted to buy a Generic (knockoff) of the original and to my surprise it is built solid. Everything works as it should. I haven’t tried it on rings, but I’m sure it will do its job. And yet pleased sk xdjnñI would have given it 5 starts, but if you look at the picture from the manufacturer it shows the blades passing through the holster. Our generic version does not. It’s almost like the hole wasn’t cut wide enough. Overall a very good sisscors in the morning.I’m buying more for the holidays as stocking stuffer

This tool is strong and heavy, it's too heavy for my duty belt, so I placed it on my IFAK for emergence situations. Time will tell how long it lasts or how well it does. One concern , is how to clean it after dealing with a trauma situation ? Time will time.

I have both Raptors and Xshears and have used both for years. I have had basically everything else from old-fashioned bandage scissors to the cheap $1 pairs off Amazon to the standard $10 pairs that most people use at work. These are obviously a ripoff of the Leatherman Raptor and have the same features. The plastic handles feel slightly weaker and thinner, and flex slightly when forced. The holder is similarly lower-grade plastic and molded to less-accurate tolerances (it was quite difficult to force the unfolded shears through the first time, and while most people carry them folded - the ability to put them back without folding them is a handy feature of the real Raptors because it can be done one-handed). The locking mechanism that keeps the handles in place when unfolded sticks a bit and fails to keep them in place at first but I suspect it will be better once broken in.The blades are nice and thick just like Raptors, possibly like a quarter of a millimeter thinner. They seem well heat-treated.The seatbelt cutter doesn’t have a lock-open function, which is no big deal but it’s the only function that Raptors have but the generics do not. The tang on the Raptors has a little notch that the generics do not, but this has no function. Both have similar hardness when tested with a file and hack saw.I’m nit-picking as much as possible to make it crystal clear that they aren’t as good as Raptors, but they are still fantastic shears. I highly recommend them. Yes, they are only like 85% as good as Raptors, but if you are used to the normal quality of standard EMS shears, these will be the best you have ever used.If you are used to Xshears or real Raptors, these will still feel nice. You will notice the difference, but you won’t likely mind.In terms of quality of cutting, it goes like this:Xshears are the best (but they don’t fold)Raptors are the second best. These knockoffs are a close thirdTop-quality normal EMS shears are fourthCheapo EMS shears are dead last
