It's mentioned that this is safe for large dogs a couple times but 2.5" is not a safe size for large dogs. It's not a pleasant thing to think about, but a dog choking on a ball is a real risk. (An example, Oprah Winfrey lost her Golden Retriever this way) The recommendations I've run across for medium dogs (Border Collie, Beagle) is 2.5"-3". For a large dog, 3"-4" is recommended and for giant breeds, like a Saint Bernard, 4"-5" is recommended.I have a ball obsessed medium breed that loves these. This is the minimum size I'm comfortable with him playing with, but I do check anytime we get a new type because somehow (material perhaps?), some that are the same size, fit differently in their mouths. If they can fit the whole thing or they tend to carry it towards the back, it's a no.I appreciate that these don't soak up all the slobber that touches them You're not going to want to submerge them for hours but you can rinse and/or dry them when dirty or slobbery, They don't turn into a sopping mess that no one wants to touch 10 minutes into playtime.I find this to be a great ball and would love to see a safer, larger marketed to the med-large and up dogs.

First off, I've been looking for something that has the bounciness of a racquet ball but that won't mark up the walls. These balls definitely don't have the bounciness of a racquet ball but they also don't mark up the walls so I got half of what I was looking for. They are fairly lightweight very much like a Nerf ball in texture. I imagine that is to make them compatible with the automatic ball chucking machines. The size is on the low end for full grown adult labs / lab mixes but definitely suitable in my finding and right as soon as I opened the package my boy knew what to do with the new balls. They don't squeak, they don't glow and their somewhat spongey texture might make them targets for chewers. But as balls go, they are good.

These balls may be good depending on how you use them. If you have a dog that is fond of the water, they will be great for taking to the beach or playing in the pool. The description also says they fit ball launchers. I don't have a ball launcher, so I can only assume that is so.The description also says that they are "super bouncy". In my opinion, they are not. They do bounce, but not remarkably so. You will get better bounce from a regular tennis ball.I am not sure of the material they are made of. I thought the dogs might chew them up, but they haven't. In fact, they show very little interest in these balls. It makes me wonder if they find the taste unappealing and therefore don't want to have them in their mouths.Again, depending on how you use them, they may work out well. Unfortunately, for my dogs, they just were not a hit.

Admittedly, I didn't properly read the description and thought this included the ball launcher, what an amazing deal, right?! It's OK though, because my ball-crazy Border Collies and mixes love these soft bouncy balls. I'm happy that the material is so soft and a bit squishy, so I can feel safer with letting the little dog with bad teeth play as well! They're lightweight, so you do have to put some "oomph" into throwing them, but i can image they could be launched at a great speed to cover the desired distance. So far they haven't destroyed them, but these are not durable chew toys for destructive dogs. I'm also happy that they do not have a squeaker to annoy me constantly. So far, my dogs have loved to play fetch with these!

These ETPU Tennis Balls for Dogs are basic but really nice! They have a great bounce, are chew-resistant, and work perfectly with automatic ball launchers. Plus, they float, which makes them great for outdoor play. A solid choice for any dog that loves fetch!

These balls, on first glance, look like the kind of thing that will be absolutely destroyed and broken up into a thousand pieces laying all around your home in about 5 minutes. However, that wasn't the case at all. These balls are holding up better than a lot of alternatives that we've tried. We have a long-haired dachshund for whom ball is life. And she initially turned her nose up at this ball (it wasn't the normal small tennis ball type that she's used to getting). But after about 5 or 10 minutes, she had acclimated just fine and was wanting me to through it all over the place for her to go fetch.Great little balls, for sure!

When I first opened the bag with these balls in it I immediately thought, no way these will survive 5 seconds with our Frenchie!Color me surprised as its holding up really well and looks brand new ever after 30 minutes of our dog fetching and chewing it like crazy. It bounces very well and its slippery enough that our dog ends up chasing it all over the hardwood floor as he's not able to easily get a good grip on it and it ends up shooting out of his grip and off he goes again. So far, really good!I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. A 5-star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

They aren't as bouncy as the name suggests. But my dog enjoys them nonetheless. They seem fairly sturdy too, she hasn't ripped them apart.
