So easy to use and gives you beautiful soil to use as a natural fertilizer for your plants and garden. Every night I collect my vegetable peels and scraps and mix in paper, cardboard etc. and let the machine do its magic overnight (5 hours for the large setting).

I really like this product but there are no replacement options for the lid or the basket and it am expensive item to have to replace the whole thing when all that is needed is a new lid. There is also no way of getting in touch with this company.

This is our most magical appliance. It works perfectly and is super fast at turning our food scraps into pre-compost. I do want to note that the resulting soil material is best used outside - when we added it to our houseplants, we had a fruitfly explosion and learned our lesson quickly. Now we add the fresh compost to a bucket outside for additional decomposition and then add that to our raised beds and garden. The cleaning setting is really great as well and we try to clean it between uses. It holds a decent amount of compost and between our food scraps and coffee grounds, we end up emptying it once or twice a week.

The instructions are a bit more complicated than I thought but once you get used to it and try it out a few times it becomes easier to navigate. It is heavy and a medium size machine so it holds a lot! Easy to clean and functional once you get the hang of it. It compost the food quite well in my opinion and breaks it down pretty good. I also like that the handle locks so you don’t have to worry about anyone just easily taking it off & it also helps to pick it up and move it since it is kind of heavy.

So far I’ve had this for about 10 days now and it works really well. You basically throw in all your food scraps turn it on and you get a fine mesh compost. The only thing is I live on an island and have a small condo The purchased this to help nourish my vertical garden. When I ordered it, I intended in keeping it in the kitchen where I could put my food wasted, however, this has an odor from the composting and while I really like it, it is not something I wanna keep with the kitchen. So I’ve had to keep this out by the laundry in order to keep it out of the weather and rain. It’s a nifty gadget and right now with $160 coupon, it’s not a bad buy. But I would recommend you think about where you’re going to keep the item unless you don’t minda smelly kitchen.

This electric composter takes your food scraps and turns it into fertilizer compost without the hassle of using a traditional composting bin. I've seen these and have always wanted to try one out. When I came across this one, I found it was a great value compared to others. It also has a built in charcoal filters to minimize the odor. I got this electric composter because I have tons of scraps from cutting herbs, veggies, and fruit. Honestly, I would never throw meat into a compost, that's really disgusting. But anything organic that I know will break down clean without leaving a terrible odor, I'm all for. I usually will have tons of apple cores, stone fruit cores/ seeds, squeezed lemon halves, lettuce leaves, potato and carrots peels, and lots and lots of herb stems from bushel-fulls of parsley, cilantro, and green onion bushels. I mean I have massive amounts of these since my family consumes a lot of herbs that we cook in stews. The settings on the machine is easy, and I personally do not like this in my kitchen, so I set this up in my garage. You need to have this continuously on and plugged in for it to do its job. So far, it's too soon to see how the fertilizer will be, but I'll be sure to update this post. So far, so good!
