About this item

  • BPA-Free Material: Constructed from high-quality, BPA-free plastic. Using BPA-free materials aligns with eco-friendly practices, promoting a healthier environment. BPA-free plastic is not only safe but also durable and resistant to cracking, ensuring that your compost bin withstands the elements and lasts for years
  • Large Capacity: Holds up to 120 gallons (450 liters) of organic waste, making it ideal for both small and large gardens. Capable of accommodating a significant amount of kitchen scraps, yard waste, and other compostable materials, reducing the frequency of emptying and ensuring a continuous supply of compost
  • Aeration Panels: The sides of the bin feature multiple aeration panels that allow air to flow freely through the compost pile, maintaining the ideal balance of oxygen for aerobic bacteria. The efficient aeration helps to minimize foul odors by preventing the compost from becoming too wet or compacted, which can lead to anaerobic conditions and unpleasant smells

Serves it's purpose, but very flimsy and kept falling apart, so I had to zip tie it together.

With all the work I do with starting seeds, re- potting plants this was a no brainer to get and make my own natural organic soil component. Easy set up and sturdy. Only suggestion I have is to make any holes bigger and mesh like as something chewed through an opening and had a ball removed the composting stuff. Fixed by duck taping a piece of screening to opening.++++++++++

I have been composting without a bin for many years. I love this 50 gallon size. It is a perfect size for my 2 person household. It is very easy to assemble, no tools necessary.

This is significantly larger than an ordinary trash can, and it is vented, so for the price it is a much better starter compost bin. It is easy to put together without instructions (which were supplied, but the sheet was packed between the side panels so I didn’t see them until the bin was mostly assembled). There is no bottom panel, so think of this as an inverted bowl rather than as a box. The sliding door at the bottom of the front panel is not strongly held in place, so may be easily detached and lost. Further, the opening is not the full width of the front panel, so I am afraid that any attempt to scrape out finished compost will be frustrating. Still, I think I will probably get another soon, setting it on a strong tarp with a few holes cut for drainage and earthworm access. I might secure the access panel with a strap running around the bin.

It’s in place and doing it’s job. So far so good! Seems a bit cheap in construction, but I think they are all made this way. It’s making dirt! That’s the most important thing.

I ordered this one because of the size, and the convenient botton door. My first impression was, "wow, this is cheap plastic for $80! But I went ahead and set it up. Once assembles I felt better about it. Then a couple days later I noticed this split on the seam. It could be my error on the assembly end although it seemed to be snapped together. Anyway, I will probably reinforce it with a bungie or something. I'm kindof disappointed as it won't look as tidy.
