Company very helpful to make sure worms arrived when temperatures were not too hot so the worms would be alive and healthy. Added worms to church gardens we had been working on. All worms appeared to be alive and ready to get into soil. Happy with purchase.

I ordered the big 1000 worm bag and recieved a little more than 100 worms.So... while the worms were healthy and arrived on time, I will be buying worms from somewhere else next year.

Received package, and checked it thoroughly - there were a VERY few worms alive at the time (yes, they are tiny and can be hard to detect, but I have had worms before so know what to look for, etc). Put them into my compost container and followed all instructions to the "T" - again, I have had worms before. Within a few days, I went to check on them - as I normally would do - and not ONE worm was alive. Very disappointing to say the least. I have had worms before, again as stated above, and not experienced this before. Yes, over time and such, it is expected that worms will pass on. Worms I have had in the past have lasted a LONG time.

When we bought this bag of 100 composting worms for our garden compost bin, I was extremely skeptical, but I figured it was worth a shot to experiment. After only about 3 months, which was during the winter and included a couple of unusual freezes here in Central Florida, our compost is the best looking we have ever seen. I’ve been composting for years and have always been very disappointed with the results here in our challenging Florida climate, but we’re thrilled with the results after adding these worms.When they arrived, they didn’t look like much and we very much doubted they would be effective. We also had no idea how we would be able to tell whether they were doing their job or not. However, in a very short time, every time we went to the compost to turn it or get some out for plants, we always noticed a load of worms working hard in there, in very nice black soil that smells healthy.I feel they are slightly pricier than I would have liked and I did contemplate giving only 4 stars for that reason, but the end result is amazing and I would recommend.

I just ordered these on Monday I think and they already were delivered today. The only bad thing is I had no clue they were delivered as Amazon shows the shipping time much later - the only reason I knew is because I happened to open my mailbox today (I only check my mail like once a week). I am also questioning if this is really 500 worms because it just doesn't seem like that many, it doesn't even seem like 100 worms, but idk maybe they are really small and I over estimated what 500 would look like? Anyway they are mostly alive and hoping they are doing well in their new home. I will update after some time since I have only had them for a few hours I feel like it's early for a true review.

I ordered a half pound of worms for my compost pile and garden and decided to order from Brothers Worm Farm, largely because I love their packaging :). The first order was delayed while in transit for several days and most of the worms arrived dead. I contacted the seller and they were extremely friendly and helpful and immediately sent a replacement bag of worms that arrived happy and healthy.I was very impressed with the packaging; I love the cloth bag (it arrived sealed with a zip tie) and they included a starter bag of worm food to get them started in their first week. They also included comprehensive instructions.I strongly recommend this product; I know that if I ever need worms again this is where I'm going.

I think i might have just been lucky but, seemed to be well over 100 worms. maybe I'm just no good at counting worms! They all seem alive and well so far, lots of movement when the bag was opened and they dug into the temp soil right away. They will be going into a flower bed. We live in a master planned community and they scrape ALL the top soil off and build up on road base compaction and there is NOTHING in the soil. I spent a year building up organics and was hoping i would see some worms eventually but, nothing and its almost 1.5 years in. So, I'm adding them myself to the built up flower bed. Fingers crossed, these guys get to live a good life!***Updates after a few months. Winter as come to Texas and the plants froze. Sadly it was VERY high winds and about 15F to 18F with windchill going to 0F. Plants could not be saved. After the freeze, i dug up a few to plan for next planting and i have a great number of worms. More than i expected to find. They are likely doing good and seem to be reproducing and moving in the soil well. Its about 12Ft from where i made space to introduce them to see if they moved down and they sure have!
