I had a splitter from Wallyworld, let's just say it wasn't the best splitter to have. The connections, and the toggles to turn them on and off were both made of plastic, and they leaked, so I would have to shut the water off at the faucet when I was done using the hoses. This is made of metal with a metal connector, and the handles are hand sized, made of metal, and close with a solid feel. Then closed there was no leakage, no dripping. Also enclosed were 4 washers, and a small roll of silicone tape to seal the connections. It's doing it's job well.

I wish I could give this product a decent review, but after a day of dealing with heavy chunk of metal spewing water where it shouldn't I'm forced to leave this review. The product appears at first glance to be solidly made. However, I could not get this spigot to not leak when the hose was turned on.When I first connected it there was a minor leak on the mainline threads which I solved with another plastic o-ring that came with the product (and had three left over). Once that was solved there were initially no issues with the water on and the valves closed, and no issues with either valve opening or closing. Given there were zero issues at the connection I attached a hose and turned the mainline on to use the hose for watering. When i came back to the spigot to turn the hose off, water was spraying freely from the connection. I initially thought it was the mainline male connector to the female Y spigot, but it was worse. The female connector to the male spigot was solid, but the water was spraying from behind the female thread connector. No matter what I did, if the product was moved in even a slight way while the water was on, the water would start flowing out from the tail of the Y. I spent a fair amount of time trying to make this connection seal. The o-rings provided were not the right size for that part of the connection and the plumbers tape did nothing, either. Time and time again I felt I had the product working right only to move the hose slightly and have the water spew out again. There is either a design flaw or a product flaw with the way the female connector connects with the product as a whole.Given I could not use this Y spigot without flooding the area near the mainline, the product is rendered moot. It made an unsatisfying thud when thrown in the trash.

This is an industrial split!Yes, you can get a split at the big box for approximately half the price and I have in the past. However, the handles are small and they are usually the first to break if there isn't a leak first. I have a couple of the cheap ones and just plan on getting new ones every 18 months. This beast has changed my whole thought process. Those huge levers make controlling the flow of water very simple. Be warned, to shoot some silicone down both ends to work in the the valves. The silicone helps with sealing and makes the turning smooth. They included extra rubber gaskets and tape, maybe they should have included a little package of silicone as well.

I am VERY happy with this splitter faucet. I have never found anything so well made and so functional. I am impressed with the overall quality - very heavy duty - this will last a long time.My favorite feature is the long handles that are clearly marked which way is on and which way is off! They are easily grasped and moved. Easy installation - it just screws effortlessly to your outdoor faucet. It comes with extra washers and plumbers tape - this manufacturer thought of everything!I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND based on design and high quality! Works spectacularly!

We have nearly a dozen of these types of hose splitters on our farm. This one is unique because it has larger levers that are obvious when they are on and off, and they are easy to operate. This kit is complete with nylon tape to seal the connection and extra gaskets. This thing is beefy and well made. I really like it for areas animals cannot reach. I am a bit afraid the animals might be able to actuate the valves if they can get to them. This one will go on the outside of the pastures.

As you can imagine, there are a lot of hoses involved at the farm. Some for watering chickens, some for trees and shrubs, some for the garden, and so on. You really don't want to be attaching and detaching hoses as needed for a task. That's where this splitter comes in. I can drive two hoses from one hose connection - one at a time or both at once. The big reason that I got this product is that it is full flow. Many splitters don't have the full flow capacity that the house connection has. When you are watering - you want water!! As much as you can get! This splitter will deliver. And I like the large handles that control the ball valves. They are easy to turn on and off. They are intuitive; when the handles are along the path of the water, they are On and when they are across it, they are Off. And they feature a nice little detent when they are closed. You don't even have to look, you can feel them sort of "snap" closed.Really nice product, and an easy 5 Stars.==============================================================And just a little about where I'll use this. This will be my gardening setup. I will have one hose dedicated to hand watering: Filling buckets, watering cans, and direct watering with a wand. The other hose will connect to my system of soaker hoses. Sometimes I want one, sometimes the other, and sometimes, both on at once. This will work really nicely.
