does what it should, after a year of having the knobs stick a little but nothing a little grease didn't fix. I'm surprised that the washers that came with it are still working great (no leaks). If I need another splitter, I'll certainly get this one again.

One of the better splitters I have used. Solid, easy to turn handles, and doesn't leak.

Solid brass body and levers seem very sturdy. The lightest part is the threaded hose attachment but it spins easily and sealed well with just hand tightness. Interior construction looks like stainless steel balls and white plastic, (possibly Teflon), seal. Much better quality than the old metal Y, which this replaces, as that had black plastic levers that broke, and a white metal body that was corroding. Came with all three needed rubber washers, plus a roll of Teflon tape...it seals fine without the Teflon tape, but it's always nice to have a spare of that on hand.

I got the Morvat Heavy Duty Brass 2-way Y Splitter Garden Hose Hexagonal Connector to split one garden hose feed to supply two drip irrigation hoses. Since I move my drip irrigation hoses around the yard, I wanted to fit the drip hose and the Morvat Y splitter attached to my garden hose with quick disconnect fittings to be able to move my drip hoses separately from my garden hoses on my hose reels. The Morvat product is well-made, functions well, and doesn't leak in the short time I've used it. I give it a 5-STAR rating as a standalone product. The problem is when I use it with Liulo Quick Disconnect Fittings (B0C8MCPQ4M), the combination of the two products blocks water flow. Both products should modify their design. The Morvat Y-splitter has its ball valves too close to the male fitting at the top of each Y. The female Liulo quick disconnect fitting has an internal plunger (seen as white plastic in the product picture) that gets pushed up against the Morvat ball valve opening when it's screwed onto that and the Liulo male disconnect fitting is plugged into the other side of the female connector. In fact, if I fully screwed the Liulo female connector onto the Morvat male Y fitting, the pressure of the ball valve against the Liulo internal plunger could cause the Liulo male/female connection to fall apart, breaking my water flow pathway. I made do with using the supplied Morvat sealing tape to generously wrap the Morvat male Y connector ends. Then I screwed the Liulo female connectors on only far enough that water didn't leak out (much) from the connection but the Liulo plunger wasn't pressed so tightly against the Morvat ball valve as to block flow. Both products separately are 5-STAR products, IMHO, but when used together, they don't work very well and I'll be looking for other products to be used in combination for my drip irrigation purposes.

This product has several shortcomings. 1.) Beware of tiny brass slivers, wear gloves while installing. 2.) While the valve handle is brass rather than cheap plastic, the screws holding the handle in place can't be tightened so that the screw won't turn with the handle. If the handle is operated frequently, the screw will need to be re-tightened. 3.) You will really need to crank the splitter connection down tight to your water outlet as otherwise it will leak. If this is a new and improved design, I would suggest that the designers try again.

Imperial fitting. Not compatible. You will need to spend a small fortune in plumbing tape to stop the leak from the ill fitting piece.Fortunately I don’t need to remove and replace hoses all the time so I no longer feel so irritated having applied all the tape.

The product is very well made. It's missing only one thing. It says it's a "garden hose connector" in the description and on the package. What diameter are the threads? Unknown. Not stated. Are all garden hose connections the same thread diameter? No they are not. So I purchased this product for my hose nib and garden hoses. Guess what. It doesn't fit. Others who sell similar products put the diameter in their description. Please do so.
