Came with everything advertised and is working... The important bits seem to be metal but actual longevity with it being turned off and on will simply take time to tell.

I like the design and quality of this hose splitter. The water connection points (the threaded part) is metal rather than plastic so hopefully it will last a bit longer. I like the ball cock type valves as they seem to open and close more fluidly than the screw type valves. The plastic material in the splitter is not located on any major wear surfaces and do it should not impact the function or longevity of the faucet. The splitter comes with a couple of plastic quick connect couplers, but only comes with the male end of the quick connect. If you don’t have the female end I’m not sure how useful the male end will be. (Actually I’m pretty sure it is of no use at all without the mating receptacle.). I appreciate the effort to sweeten the pot, but the quick connect pieces are more of a puzzle than a help. But the splitter is nice.

I have a Koi pond in my backyard and the spigot for the hose is right next to it. However, it's occupied by the refill tube on the pond pump. So I can disconnect it when I need to use my garden hose but that's a pain. Plus, I've gone through a few gaskets over the years doing this. I'm literally out of gaskets which is why I searched for this product on Amazon.I can now connect my garden hose AND my refill hose to the same spigot! Plus, I can turn one or both off/on via the valves on each split. It even came with a bunch of spare gaskets.I'm very glad I bought this.

At this price point, I was concerned that it would be flimsy. It is anything but! It's definitely solid. We use this in marinas to hook our boat up to our RO water maker while still having one free for the hose. Both valves are easy to turn shut the water off completely. The unit comes with a seal ring and it connected effortlessly with the large turning "knob."

...you have more than one garden hose but multiple places to use one that can't all be handled from one faucet at the same time, duh! What becomes important is how easy it is to flip the levers that dictate which hose the water goes to (we use some older devices that with age the levers become difficult to move) and less importantly how easy it is to screw the hose on and off the threads. Our current hose splitter is solid brass and this one disappoints me in that regard because they appear to be aluminum threads which can gall or oxidize with age. I do like the fact the levers on this one are longer. Our solid brass one has levers so short it almost requires pliers to flip them.

nice splitter with burnished threads so they don't cut your fingers while tightening and provides an even flow between the two sides when both are on. comes with plenty of rubber washers to keep water behind the threads. control arms are made of plastic but can easily be replaced, controls can be used with gloved hands.

This splitter is pretty solid. I have no issues tightening it or the hoses that attach to it. The diversion levers are easy to move- to open or stop the flow of water to each hose. The real test will be to see if it lasts the winter. Typically I get one season out of these things here in the Northeast. I'll update when it gives out.

Makes my life much easier when switching from from to back field and inside the barn. I don't have to drag 200ft of hose around to water everything.
