So you just broke the 4th little plastic tab on the box store version of these and are looking for an alternative. this little bad boy is it. totally solid brass there isnt any chance weather is going to snap these little guys off.

1zt and 2nd each lasted less then a week each. Both were connected to main hose 1 time. 1st resulted with the swival either breaking off. The 2nd one created a split separation that pushed the rubber washer partially through

No problems thus far, seems robust and looks like it will last a long time if I can remember to take it in for the winter!

Well-constructed brass with brass valves, not plastic. No leaks and I attached 4 hoses to it.Note...the first time turning the valve tabs use a pliars; they are really stiff. After that no problem, easy and smooth.

I bought similar 4-way hose splitters before that were advertized as brass and was disappointed only the screw threads were brass, while the rest was zinc, which corrodes very quickly, even the chrome-plated valve balls disintegrated after a year, and the plastic handles broke. This splitter's body is brass, as are the lever handles. The short handles require fairly strong fingers when new, and will probably become quite difficult for delicate hands to operate over time. Two design changes would change my rating from 4 stars to 5: Larger valve ports (they're only about 1/4"), and longer lever handles. Bottom line, though, is that this is the best one I've seen on Amazon.
