This is a nice change from the old c-clamp method. This allows for slight adjustments so you do not overpressure the caliper and it is also nice because you can trigger pump the movement versus a turn handle like the old c-clamp methods. It also came with an S style hanger

Very nice brake pad spreader tool. This brake pad spreader does a good job of pushing the pistons back into place for reset. This pad spreader is so easy to use and fast, really cut the time it takes to compress the brake pistons back to get them ready to reset and install the new brake pads. They make the reset go faster because I was able to make sure all pistons were set all the way in. I'm able to do brakes in less time and that's money in the bank.💯💯💯

It’s got more heft to it than I expected, which is always a good sign. The handle you pump to expand it feels a bit loose, but don’t let that scare you off. Everything else on this tool feels solid and ready for action.Using this tool does take a bit more hand strength compared to a c-clamp on a 2 piston caliper, but it’s not too bad.
