This product works SOOOOOOOO much better than what I have used where you have to crank a knobCranking that knob is painful and difficultThis slides between the pads and works just like a ratchet.LOVE IT. BUT IT.

I don't see how I never had one sooner, this is the easiest way to press in the calipers and I'm like why haven't I bought one 10 years ago, more like decades ago. maybe they didn't have them decades ago, but wish they did, because this step in brake replacement took me forever to do. I used a C-clamp to press in calipers and my calipers were shaped funny and I couldn't find a good flat spot on the back of calipers to grip. this takes like a minute to press in calipers now. I just wonder how long will this last before failure.

This made my brake job much easier. I have aftermarket 4 piston calipers and it was cumbersome to use two calipers and two plates of steel. This tool slips in and did what it was supposed to do. If you have nicely painted calipers then another set of hand helps or get a debri free towel to keep the caliper from banging into anything as you will need some force to start the pistons being compressed. The tool does require some force/resistance to re-collapse for the next use. Overall a valuable addition to your tool kit if you do frequent brakes jobs, especially as more performance cars are coming from the factory with 4 to 6 piston calipers.

This product is alright, not the best, but gets the job done, when compressing a caliper the tools doesn’t works unless you pull the threaded out to the correct location/ threads of the pad tool
