The issue I’m having is that it doesn’t fit with any water bottle… I tried using the Walmart water bottles and the tops were to small so I bought Aquafina and those didn’t work. I finally emptied a one liter soda water bottle to see and it actually worked with that. So now I have to go buy a bunch of soda water bottles and empty them just so I have plastic bottles to use. One I had one that worked the system worked fine…

These are great little waterers for when you are traveling. I made the mistake of trying to use 2 liter bottles for water, and sadly they all fell over when filled with water - if I had used 20 oz bottles, however, they probably would have worked fine. They have a nice little valve on them to adjust how much water comes out.

I gave these as a Gift to a Plantlover and she was thrilled. She said they work great when she goes on Vacation, so Problem solved. Also they are small so no big Storage Issue.

These worked very well for watering plants in the summer while we were on vacation. These spikes work best with a 1 liter or smaller bottle, but you can affix a 2 liter bottle to have a larger volume water feeder. They are a great value solution for watering plants. We set up 24 during our trip and each plant did great. In terms of bang for the buck these are a sure winner to keep your plants wet while you're away. Highly recommend.

I bought these because I was going on a weeklong trip. Long story short, by the time I set everything up and left the house, I was sure I'd come home to dead plants. In theory these are nice, but keep in mind you have to supply your own bottles. I didn't have that much of a hard time finding ones that fit, your standard soda bottle will do, but if I had bought these any later than I had, I wouldn't have had time to collect enough bottles. The assembly I think is the hardest part. It's tedious and not worth the effort. The package comes with a formula you're supposed to follow (and I'm pretty sure it's in the description as well) so that your plants get consistent water slowly dripping from the bottle, but in actuality after screwing on the water bottle and adjusting the spout several times (thinking I was doing it wrong) no water even came out of the bottle (unless you count the leakage from the non-existent seal on the rim).I believe that the spout is supposed to let out air so the water drips but that doesn't work. I ended up having to stab a hole through the top of every bottle so that the drip feature would even work, even then, it was very inconsistent and could not reach the "drop count per minute" that I needed it to be at to last my whole trip. When I got home yesterday, most of my plants had withered and/or died. Granted, I didn't use a 2L bottle, but that circles back to my first point of having to gather enough bottles in the first place to water in all the different locations I needed them to.This product gave me no peace of mind during my trip and after screwing around with all the little parts for a couple hours and meticulously timing little water drops I pretty much gave up. I set everything up the day I left, knowing I'd come back to dying/ dead plants.Imo, spend the extra five dollars and get the ceramic ones that leech into the soil slowly as you plant needs it.

I follow the instructions as l should. I make a hole in the top of the bottle to relieve pressure. I adjust the taps to a drip. I come back later and they are not dripping. I adjust for a faster drip and the same result. I adjust the drip faster and some bottles are emptied too quick others the taps stop dripping. These things are not reliable to water my plants while away. For me they are a waste of money and are now in my recycle bin.

They do get the job done when it comes to a quick drip system if you need a quick weekend getaway.2 set backs I encountered: after each refill the spout will have to be manually adjusted so the water can flow again and 2) you’re only able to use a 2lt bottle and/or a standard soda plastic bottle because a sport drink bottle or juice bottle, per say, will not fit the screw top. Other than that, you’re good to go! 😉💙🤙🏼

This review is for LABOTA 24 Packs Self Watering Spikes. The items shipped via Amazon and arrived quickly with no damages or shipping issues. These watering spikes have a few design and manufacturing flaws. The spikes are too short and too thin for anything larger than small plastic bottle. There are no fins or ribs on the spikes so they are not stable in indoor potting soil. They may be okay in hard clay or silt soil like I have in my yard, but I have a drip irrigation system in the backyard and got clay spikes that take wine bottles for temporary watering of my front yard plantings. The needle valves these spikes come with are cut from single point injection trees and appear to be hand cut. So everyone one of them is slightly different and they give a very inconsistent drip rate as the valve is turned. It turned out that I had to be away from home a week after I got these. So it was the perfect opportunity to test and adjust everything before my trip. I am using 1-liter plastic bottles with these (way too big for the spikes). I have seven indoor plants that need to have roots kept damp, so I adjusted the valves for 1 drop every 5 seconds, which should have been just about right for a 7 day test run. The next morning I had 6 bottles still at the fill mark and one big puddle of water on the floor under the the seventh planter. So I kept adjusting till the morning of my departure and at that point everything seemed under control Make long story short, after I got back, I had five dead plants with full bottles of water, and two almost dead plants with two puddles on the floor.I decided not to send these back because I want to see if I can shape the needles valves and make them work right as a personal challenge. It is going to be a lot of work to get it right. The hope is to end up not needing to water my thirsty plants every day and maybe reduce the watering to every other day or every third day by filling the liter bottles only a third full. As they are, I can not recommend them. Most likely, I will probably put them in the recycling bin regardless of the outcome of my experimentation.
