That means no more overflowing drainage trays or waterlogged plants. It also means that the rate of emptying depends on your soil – they may last two weeks in some soil and only a few days in different soil. What I disliked was that it didn't work. You fill the bird with water, which will gradually feed your plant. Well, it doesn't do that. It drains all the water automatically. I know what you're thinking: Maybe my plants were dry and thirsty. So, that's why I refilled them three times, and each time, in less than two hours, all the water was disbursed. So, now, I have to buy a different bulb watering system and pray that one works.

Size and quality have changed. I ordered these watering spikes about a year ago and for the most part, really liked them. The spike tends to separate from the reservoir, so I glued them - no problem. Decided to order more - TOTALLY DIFFERENT. They are about an inch shorter and the spike is some type of ceramic vs. clay.

The first problem is on me, they are plastic and I didn't read the description. But they are cheap plastic (think: cheap water gun that you win at a carnival)Only one of them them actually drips and I'm not sure if that one is broken or the only one that works. Water just pours through it.I'm desperate for help in keeping my plants watered in the Oklahoma heat or I would return them.Wish I had read the reviews but honestly, how do you mess this up?

I love these! They work exactly as expected. Easy to fill, waters plants over a few days, cute, and I don't have to move them constantly to refill so they're not damaging the plant roots.I will say a lot of the complaints seem to come from assembly and every time I've ordered these, they've arrived preassembled, so I'm not sure if this is something the seller has corrected.I love these, they work great!!
