Works great. Easy to use. I followed directions & used 1 liter water bottles in each of my outdoor planters. All plants made it, even though temps were on the high 90's the 10 days we were gone. Very happy with the results. Great value for the money

j'ai essayé juste avant de partir en vacance mais aucune bouteille ne fonctionne car l'eau s'écoule, le plastique est trop mou et aucune bouteille ne peut se visser correctement, il existe probablement de meilleurs produits dans lee valley.

I tried a variety of bottles (soda, milk, water), with and without the adapter provided, and every time, the screwing part leaks from the side. I found better one at the Dollarstore.

Not much better than direct watering. Entire bottle empty in hours. No control of water flow.Not worth the effort or money

They get the job done, but the small ones won't fit on my water or Gatorade bottles. However they fit my 52oz orange bottles perfectly.

I was intrigued by the idea behind these self-watering spikes - just screw them into your plants' soil and attach a plastic bottle to automatically water your plants. Unfortunately, the execution is very poor.The included water bottle adapters simply do not provide a tight seal. No matter how hard I twist on the water bottle, it still leaks out rapidly from the connection point. Within 5 minutes, brand new full bottles of water are already half empty and the soil is completely soaked.I figured maybe I just got a faulty adapter. But after trying numerous bottles across the several spikes I purchased, it's clear the adapters themselves are poorly designed and constructed. The connection point leaks every single time.While the general concept has promise, these specific self-watering spikes just do not work properly at all. The fast leaking wastes water, overwaters plants, and makes a huge mess. For a device that is supposed to slowly dispense water over time, it fails completely.I cannot recommend purchasing these spikes in their current design. The adapter needs major reworking to actually provide a water-tight seal with standard plastic bottles. Until the leaking issue is resolved, these spikes are essentially useless. Very disappointing.

We bought a total of 72 of these to water our many plants while we would be away on vacation. They came with no instructions in the boxes whatsoever, so we assumed they were self-explanatory.We set them up a few days ahead but found that after two days none of the water from our bottles was draining. After reading other reviews we read one review that said we’re supposed to poke holes in the bottles. We tried this on a couple of our plants and the bottles drained immediately, within one minute. So we replaced those bottles, left them intact, and went on our trip hoping that they would work when truly needed.After five hot days with plenty of sun and zero rain, we returned to find all of our plants wilting and dying, yet the bottles were all full. The spikes had been completely useless, a waste of money and an even bigger waste of time and energy to set them up and now later remove them. We are now still watering heavily and trying to salvage what’s left of our plants. We’re very disappointed in this product.

These water spikes adapt to small or large bottles. Not all bottles work, but most do. I have been using these spikes with some of my plants for 4 months now, and they look just as healthy as when I water them every week by hand. Depending on the size of the bottle, I have had these spikes keep my plants watered for up to 1 month. I tried three other types before trying these, and this type is by far the best between them all.

I used for a vacation where we would be gone for 6 days with dry and extreme heat predicted in IL. Was nervous because reviews had said they didnt hold water well or wouldnt fit well onto the bottles. I used aquafina bottles and pepsi bottles. I found that you just need to push as you twist on and they go on well. They do feel a little flimsy like they wont last that long but theu did amazing on this trip. I used 4 in a long window box and 1 each in potted plants and even one each in the coco fiber type plants i have (which dry out fast) and all the plants survived! They looked a little wilty but after that long in extreme heat they look amazing! Saves me the neighbor ask and reply upon or the pay a teenager to water thing when we are away. I put them all in a box to reuse for next trip! Highly recommend for this use. Pic is after i pulled them all after and rinsed off the tips to store
