I didn’t care for having to build it but it wasn’t too bad. The low rating is due to me only having this a few months and it has already fallen apart from the heat making the bolts fall off.

Like other reviewers this is cheap, not sturdy and can’t hold more than a fake log. Totally fell apart after a few months of use.

You do have to put this together. I'm not sure why I thought you didn't but heads up for you parents that don't have that much extra time. It took me about 12 minutes to get everything all set. As with anything you make, the sturdiness is up to you. The quality however is really great. I searched for quite awhile to find one that I wanted at the right place. I can say I am very pleased with my choice!

I bought this grate when it was time to replace my old one. I didn't realize assembly was required. It worried me that it would be cheap and not work very well, but I was wrong. Its a great size and sturdy once assembled. We have used it a couple months off and on without issues. I like the design. It holds even smaller pieces of wood very well. Would recommend!

The appearance is nice, but the quality of the metal I am convinced will not last one winter season. The metal is not strong enough to endure the BTU strength of the wood stove
