I have been using this in my fireplace for about 6 weeks. I have a fire about four times a week. And it's already bending in the back. It almost looks like it's starting to melt from the heat. I like this grate because it's all one piece once you put it together so it's easy to lift out and clean underneath. But I'm a little concerned by the fact that it's already warping after 6 weeks. My previous grate lasted for years. I only got rid of it to get this one because it was in multiple pieces and so it was a bit more annoying to remove to clean out the ash is under it.

Should have measured my wood stove as this is a little small. Looks good though. It is nice and solid and looks good.

Not one piece but must be assembled. It consists of two halves that are bolted together. Unfortunately, the mounting brackets that take the bolts are poorly welded to each half and the welds on one of the brackets failed which left the bracket detached and sitting at the bottom of the box when opened. Item returned for full refund. Buyer beware.

I have a wood stove that is small. It's only 18 inches wide. and 12 inches tall. I had a hell of a time getting my wood to light even with fire starters! I think I have more luck without the grate. Maybe it's for a fireplace instead of a wood stove. It took about 4 hours before I finally got things to light. I've chopped wood today, so that I had smaller wood, so maybe I could get it to light easier. I can't give it a low rating because it's probably my wood stove that is too small for the grate. Normally my wood stove has two small V shaped metal pieces to keep the wood off the bottom of the stove for more air. I've been using this wood stove regularly for about 5 years now and never had such trouble lighting a fire. Its' got to be the grate. Maybe if I had a lot of kindling or just a fireplace, I would have more luck. It is well made and easy to put together. IT comes with a wrench and all the nuts and bolts, even extra! So, it's nice for what it is, it is likely my woodstove that is the problem.
