We have a whole science set up in our sons room so naturally we have a microscope, he has been so tired of his same old slides and he loves bugs so he was so excited to get bug part slides from Santa in his stocking! You can see with or without the microscope really, but you can see all the details with the scope on though. The extra bug is really cool too?

Love these slides! I do tons of insect-related outreach with 4th grade-7th grade kids and used these for the first time this past week. Kids are always so excited to use microscopes, and giving them the opportunity to look through a wide variety of insect morphologies really gets their curiosity juices flowing. The slides were super clear - some you could see well with just a hand-held magnifying glass. I also used these on a dissecting scope, not a compound scope and they worked great, but I like that I could use either scope type. The info cards were also nice because our activities center around cockroaches and honeybees, so the info provided on the cards really supplements the lesson.
