These have a sleeve that goes into the hole in the porcelain, so the nuts make better purchase on the bolt the toilet hangs on. Even my plumber, who installed the toilet, remarked on it.

The extension is exactly what you need if you cannot adjust the length of the career bolt. The cap nuts are well made and look great with a shiny chrome finish.
