These are the perfect replacement for the cheaper, plastic caps that came with so much of my photography equipment (tripods, light stands, etc.). I place these caps on all exposed 1/4 - 20 threads to keep the threads from damaging other equipment, themselves or me ...! NOTE that there is also 3/8 - 16 size threads very common in photography equipment so I also ordered Nylon Cap Nuts in that sizing as well. I would recommend this product and would buy again.

I made a wooden glider bench that had all thread bolts used for comfort adjustments. The acorn nuts worked perfect to dress up the finished glider and protected the user from possibly getting scratched from the exposed bolt ends.
